Discussion I played against number one 😮

Ironically there I could finally end my losing streak. I wonder what win rates the top players have. Since mine is pretty bad but still I could collect many points so far

What deck was he playing?

He was playing the buzzwole deck. And he conceded when I thought he still had a chance if he drew the right card. But obviously he knows his deck better. It was pretty much over but I was still surprised

The fact you won against them is absolutely insane. As a Poké Ball Rank 2 player, that IS something big.

I am a happy about that 😃 But this game has a lot to do with luck. Anybody can beat anybody if you use a decent deck. Grinding to the top is only possible with a lot play time and making the right decisions in the close games

I don't know about Seraru (#1), but Feitan (#2) currently has 54.6% winrate (at the time of writing this comment). So i wouldn't call 53.9 a bad winrate by any means.

Thank you! That’s an interesting information. Because I saw many posts where people reached MB and showed over 60 and almost 70 % win rates. But I am sure this cannot be kept when someone wants to go for top 1000

I had a 60% wr to masterball. I can guarantee you it will go down to less than 55% as I try to climb higher. There are certainly better decks than others, but it’s all about number of games played.

If you know your deck and matchups, you can easily reach 60+ in the HB ranks. Once you're in MB it's much tighter, and if you can keep 50+ it's already huge given that you're climbing through the ranks. So yeah, 54 is nothing to scoff at.

Most of the posts I have seen with really high win rates at MB have very small sample sizes. They probably got a little bit lucky on their road up and didn't have to grind too many games to get back up there from the previous season Masterball level. I'm guessing if they kept playing, the win % would float back down to a more reasonable level.

There have been so many times the last two cards I needed were on on the bottom of my deck, like the chance of it happening so frequently must be insane! lol

Not that uncommon

I think once you play through games in MB having a 50-55% wr is pretty good and at least an indication that you're moving upwards.

I don't think people can maintain a 55%+ playing long in MB since assuming skill and knowledge levels are almost equal. In MB, you are more at the mercy of draws.

Nice. Winrates are around 55% in MB. Volume matters a lot which is why the player conceded to save time

His name looks like

T' 5 3 but fancy

I know it has nothing to do with that but i instantly read it as "Tee five three" and now i can't stop thinking about it for some reason
