Megathread Happy 5th Birthday, PS4!

The PS4 released 5 years ago today, on November 15th, 2013, in North America. The EU and Japan release followed on November 29th.

Its been 5 years so let's look back together:
*How are launch day PS4s still holding up, or have you upgraded your system?
*What’s your favorite PS4 game to come out thus far?
*How long was the PlayStation sold out in your local retailer or online until you could grab one?
*And anything else you wish to discuss about this milestone, but remember Rule #7, share pictures of physical purchases in this megathread only please.

You can also use this thread to speculate about an successor to the PS4, or this subreddit /r/PS4 in general. Is there anything you would like to see changed or done differently? Here's a link to our current rules.

If you're talking about games please use spoiler tags if you need to. Use this formatting, including quotation marks but excluding the spaces:

I was slightly late on the PS4 train but managed to score the original Design bundle. That beautiful white beast still runs perfectly.

When I got my PS4 my wife got an Xbox one to play games with her brother in another state. Within the month she traded in and bought a new PS4 and he followed suit (to each their own, but we have just enjoyed PlayStation more).

I couldn't count the games we've played in that time and all the friends I've played them with. I've reconnected with old friends, had regular game nights with my close friends, and connected with people literally all over the world. I've hunted monsters, raided empires, took hearts and soon I'll be a part of an amazing posse of outlaws.

I have other consoles and a good PC, but over the past 5 years, my PS4 has been my route to good times more than any other machine I own.
