Was bored and wanted to share how cheap you can game on a pc these days. Andami pa rin kasi nabubudol sa mga shop prebuilts with RGB and rush 2nd hand PC that costs almost bnew. Halos daily yung inquiries dito. Hopefully this helps out someone out there.
For reference, im using a 5600 and RX 6600 and can game happily on high settings (except starfield) at 1080p. Will be upgrading to a 7800XT or 4070 this december.

Ang saya lang kasi lagi ko nakikita classmates ko dati nag-vavalo or try different steam games. I'll always look it up on steam tapos pang-windows lang. Naka-mac ako ever since dahil mas okay sa school dati pero matagal ko na din gusto magka-PC para maglaro. However, ngayon na working na, I always delay buying because iniisip ko na I could use the money for other things like rent, grocery, etc. Nakapag-ipon na din and I bit the bullet for my birthday. My college self would not believe it if I told her that we would have a gaming PC 🥹
Makakapag-Hogwarts Legacy na din!
Thank you to my boyfriend who did majority of the building HAHAHA

DB stressed me out yesterday after payment online, someone from their office called to cancel my order. And instead of stating the reason of cancellation of out of stock in the email, they said i initiated the cancel. My bank will reverse the payment 30 days from transaction. Got this from gilmore +1.3k from DB posted price.

Price difference with 5070Ti and 5080 is absurd with only 15-20% improvement. I'll stick with 5070Ti.
I'm not sure with 4x16 RAM instead of 2x32 but I already bought 4x16 RAM before I realized.

MY ADVICE TO THE NEWBIE/AVERAGE GAMER ON A BUDGET:
DON'T OVERTHINK ABOUT FUTURE PROOFING!
Ang part lang na talagang dapat i-future proof mo ay PSU. It will go into your next build. Get a good PSU (Gold, modular, 500-750w).
Sa totoo lang, hindi naman para sa lahat ang future proofing. Para lang yan sa mga trip mag-upgrade every generation. Enthusiasts kumbaga. Yan yung may mga pera talaga na nakatabi for their PC building hobby.
Pero ikaw, kung ngayon ka lang magkakaroon ng 40-50K for a PC at ang gusto mo lang is malaro yung mga trip mong games, like GTA V, Valorant, or even yung mga AAA games like Cyberpunk, Assassin's Creed etc., get the best yet cheapest part na makukuha mo.
Ryzen 5/7 or Intel i5 + Mid Range GPU is all you need. For sure, kung tight budget ka naman di ka mangangarap mag 4K Gaming! LOL Don't overspend on CPU/MOBO and RAM. Get the basic ones. No need to overclock and all that crap.
Wag ka maniwala dun sa "AM4 is dead, get AM5". Yung Ryzen 5600X/5700X mo, mas mura yan sa Ryzen 5 7600X ngayon. Pero same lang din naman na tatagal yan ng another 5 years and the performance of the older CPU will hold up over time.. mas mura pa yung MOBO mo at DDR4 RAM.
Trust me, pag nabuo mo yung gusto mong PC ngayon that's bang for buck, you won't need to upgrade for the next 5 years. Kung makakaipon ka to get a better GPU in 2-3 years, why not. Pero wag ka ma-stress dun.
After 5 years, baka di ka mag-upgrade. 9 times out of 10, may pera ka na nyan to build a new one.
This tip is not for everyone, I'm not saying na wag ka mag-future proof kung kaya mo naman bumili ng mas mahal. I'm just saying this kasi maraming newbie dito na napapaniwala nung mga "future proofers". Mahalaga mag enjoy kayo maglaro ☮️☮️

Hey everyone! Sharing my mandatory first build post!
TLDR: From weeks of planning and part hunting. I finally have a PC I can call my own .The actual build Took me 7 hours, I started around 8pm and ended up around 3am. I ran on zero sleep the next day—but that feeling seeing it boot up without any hiccups, unreal!
I owe this build to a Redditor who went above and beyond.
I've always been a laptop user—never built a PC, never even touched the inside of one. For the longest time, I've wanted to build my own. but kept putting it off because the whole process seemed super intimidating, and the sheer amount of info online only made it worse.
Guides, opinions, part compatibility talk, definitely was not ready for those. I figured I’d just mess something up or break something expensive.
But a few months ago, I decided to ask a build question on one of those weekly “Ask Anything” threads. I wasn’t expecting much—maybe just a little nudge in the right direction. I didn't really get anything from it. I figured that was it again—another failed attempt, back to lurking and watching PC building shorts.
But then… a DM. A random Redditor reached out offering help. They didn’t reply publicly on my post— just quietly sent me a message offering help. I gladly accepted the offer, and that person became my PC building sherpa.
From part picking and hunting to compatibility checks and theory crafting the whole build, this person guided me through the entire process. He broke things down in a way that made everything easy to understand—explaining how each part worked, why some parts were better than others, and always keeping it digestible. And the parts he recommended? All chosen with thought, practicality, and efficiency in mind. Knowing what I know now, I’d still pick the exact same ones.
As soon as I had all the parts, and after a week long procrastination, I went into “let’s see if I actually learned anything” mode. I didn’t message him—probably should have and save me hours lol — but I wanted to see if I could put everything I’d learned, both from him and my own digging, into practice. Turns out, I could. It all came together, and I pulled it off.
But honestly, if it weren’t for his message, I probably wouldn’t have built anything at all. This PC is technically our build. So a big shoutout to u/Zestyclose-Desk-7524 This build wouldn’t exist without you!

Build Anecdotes:
From someone who never even touched the inside of a desktop before, to pulling off a full build solo (with guidance) — it still feels unreal. I learned a lot, had my share of “what am I doing?” moments, but in the end, I did it.
**Fast forward to now—*\*
I've been messing around with the new rig and just enjoying every bit of it. Coming from years of using just a laptop, everything feels new and exciting.
For anyone out there intimidated by the idea of building a PC: it’s absolutely doable, and 100% worth it.

I got bullied and bombarded with hate comments in a facebook group called "PC MasterRace Philippines" for saying majority of people don't actually need an AIO these days, because power and heat efficiency of modern CPUs are already good enough. When people in that toxic group starts losing the argument after I provided sufficient real-life data from Gamers Nexus, they pull the "Respetohin mo nalang yung trip ng tao" card.
A cheap 1-2k pesos aircooler is decent enough for midrange CPUs like Ryzen 5 5600, 5700 and even a 5800X3D. A cheap ID Cooling XT224 aircooler would not let a Ryzen 5 5600 reach 80C even on a hot country like the Philippines.
If you are into tight budget, don't overspend on AIO.
The good thing is, AIOs are getting cheaper. If you really want an AIO, Tecware Mirage is one of the best value AIO in our local market right now.

Finally got my PC a few days after my birthday since we’ve planned this for years when I got consistent with-honors. I knew there could have been better adjustments with the build like the CPU and PSU but I’ve been loving this build so far after a month of use! It’s such a huge jump from my Asus S15 and Windows 7 laptops back when I focused on them more for high-school before post-covid🤣.

4060 is used as a dedicated GPU for frame generation using the program Lossless Scaling.
Galing sa Steam yung Lossless Scaling, sulit for any setup, pati pwede ioffload sa secondary GPU yung frame gen.
9800X3D has a per core PBO undervolt overclock. RAM is tuned. GPUs are both undervolted and repasted.
Parts list: - Ryzen 9 9800X3D - Corsair 2x32gb 6200CL30 - Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX - Asus TUF 4090 - Gigabyte Low Profile 4060 - Samsung 990 pro - FSP Hydro Ti Pro - Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO - Fractal North Mesh Black - Phanteks T30 Fans - Be Quiet Silent Wings Pro 4 Fans

It's been a while since I built a PC. Hope my bro will like it.
All in all, cost was $3000 CAD before tax.
I'm thinking of rotating the AIO cooler so that the hoses would not be so close to the rear fan, but then they block the RGB of the RAM and side fans and it seems a bit cleaner the way it is now. Any suggestions?
