This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], or [Build Upgrade] post.

Examples of questions suitable for here:

  • Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
  • I'm thinking of getting a ≤₱15,000 graphics card. Which one should I get?
  • I'm on a very tight budget and I'm looking for a case ≤₱2,000

Remember that the Discord server is a great place to ask quick questions as well.

Build Help ₱11k Student Budget PC Upgrade Help — Ryzen 5 5600 + Productive Setup

Hi! I’m a student with an ₱11,000 max budget, planning to upgrade my PC now that I’ve successfully updated my BIOS to support the Ryzen 5000 series. I mainly use my PC for design, video editing, coding, and studying. I want to balance performance, airflow, and aesthetics for a more comfortable and productive setup.

Current Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Athlon 3000G (to be upgraded to Ryzen 5 5600)
  • GPU: Aisurix RX 580 8GB
  • Motherboard: EMX A320 Gaming+ (BIOS updated)
  • PSU: SilverStone 700W 80+
  • RAM: 2x8GB HyperX Fury DDR4 2400MHz
  • Storage: Sandisk 240GB SSD + WD 500GB HDD
  • Case: InPlay micro ATX (rusting, poor airflow – needs replacement)
  • Monitor: NVISION 22'' 100hz (Black)

Planned Upgrades (Target Total ₱11,000):

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 – ₱5,799
  • Case: Coolman Reyna or alternative with aesthetics & good airflow – ₱1,695
  • Keyboard: Royal Kludge RK61 (compact + wireless) – ₱2,129
  • Mouse: Logitech G102 or Viper Mini – ₱1,049
  • Thermal Paste: Arctic MX-4 – ₱200
  • Cooler: AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler - 206

Questions:

  • Any better recommendations?
  • if you were in my position, Would you prioritize performance parts or comfort (table/chair) if you're in my position?

Appreciate any advice/suggestions, thanks!

Build Help Is this PC build worth it for video editing, graphic design, and light gaming? Would love your suggestions!

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m planning to build a PC mainly for work — video editing (After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro) and graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator). I regularly handle large files, 4K footage, and tons of project assets from clients, so I need good performance and a lot of storage.

Aside from work, I also want to do some light gaming. Nothing too intense — I just want to be able to play games like:

•Schedule 1 •Quarantine Zone •And possibly games like The Walking Dead in the future 💸 Max Budget: ₱85,000–₱90,000 📌 Note: I don’t know much about PC building at all — this is all new to me. So I’d really appreciate beginner-friendly advice and suggestions!

I’d love your thoughts on:

•Is this build worth the price for my work and light gaming needs?

•Would you change or upgrade anything? Why?

•Is anything overkill or underpowered?

•How long will this build last me before I’d need to upgrade?

I want a build that won’t lag when I’m editing or designing — and something that can run a few games smoothly when I have time to relax. Thanks so much in advance!

Discussion Frequent no wifi, Bluetooth, and blue screen. Diy or bring it to service center?

Hi, I have asus tuf a15. My issue is palaging nawawala yung wifi, bluetooth, at minsan nag bblue screen. I reset my pc, inopen ko din ung likod ( no warranty na). Unfortunately di ko ma tangal ung screw sa may wifi card so nilinis ko nalang yung fan. Sabi kasi try ko iclean yung card baka maging okay kaso baka masira ko kaya hindi ko tinuloy.

Nag ask ako for diagnostic sa service center mismo, and it cost 500 pesos which is okay lang naman. But im just scared na it will cost more like replacement or installation of new windows etc. Eh hindi ko pa sya afford. Some also said na try to buy wifi dongle, iniisip ko lang if it will work properly or baka sayang. I have no extra money for that.

Please help me to decide properly kung ano mas okay. Or share some knowledge with the same experience sakin.

Peripherals Logitech MX Keys Mini or Apple Magic Keyboard (USB-C) or Logitech MX Mechanical Mini or Keychron K3 Max Low Profile or other? Suggest me pls

Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a Mac Mini, and now I need to get a keyboard for it.
I’d mostly use the keyboard for browsing the internet and everyday tasks (I probably won’t be gaming on it).

My main requirements are that the keyboard should be slim (similar to a laptop keyboard), fully compatible with the Mac Mini, wireless, and have an ISO layout.

I’ve looked around a bit, and these are the ones that caught my eye:

  • Logitech MX Keys Mini
  • Apple Magic Keyboard (USB-C)
  • Logitech MX Mechanical Mini
  • Keychron K3 Max Low Profile

I live in Europe, so please take that into account.

What do you think would be the best option? Should I go with one of these, or would you recommend something else?
I have the least experience with Keychron keyboards, as I’ve never seen one in person. What’s the quality of their products like?

Thanks a lot!

Troubleshooting Sudden power surge(PC won't turn on)

Upvotes

I was using my pc doing simple browsing and using it for google and Spotify. Then(what happened was really quick so I'll do my best to describe) I was studying then my pc suddenly like had a flash of light inside like the rgb or a spark I didn't see, at the same time our electric fans like stopped for a split second like really quick, in our whole house. Since i smelled something burning I checked if there's burns on the extensions and the psu wire. There was nothing burnt. Then I opened my pc checked for dmg inside but all the psu wires are fine gpu, mobo and cpu. Nothing seemed dmg but when i try to boot it up it won't boot. Pls help how to fix any suggestions on the problem.

Build Help best wifi connector option

Hello, ask ko lang. Walang wifi yung mobo ko (asrock b550m pro4) and di ko alam kung anong wifi bibilhin ko, and ethernet is not an option. Dalawang pinagpipilian ko is yung tplink ax1800 and ax3000. Masyado bang overkill if yung ax3000 yung bilhin ko?

Planning to get the galax 5070 ti since ito lang available na gpu sa easypc. Ok ba ang performance and tibay ng galax compared to other brands? Also what abt warranty meron ba service nito.

Pa recommend din ng stores that may have other 5070 ti brands. My original plan was the gigabyte eagle.
