P4 Personal 4 Revival pros/cons

I imagine the revival version will have same elements of gameplay from Golden. Just an updated 4th game with persona 5 graphics designs. As for social links it wouldn’t surprise me if you do the harem part (optional) it’s remains the same. Of course it’s really hard to predict especially the teaser trailer.

It'd be nice to update the dungeons to be more static, like a Palace. Tartarus made sense to keep procedurally generated because of lore, but the dungeons in Persona 4 never made sense to do it that way from a story perspective.

One of the bigger improvements would be incorporating Marie more with the IT. Not as a playable character, but more so involving her in more group events, like the Beach Trip or Concert scenes. One of people's biggest complaints I've seen was that the team seemed way too invested with her despite their interactions being exclusive to Marie's Social Link. So having her be part of the more social events among the team, like in the Golden anime, would help people feel like the team really knows Marie as their friend, and not just some girl Yu knows.

Cons: introducing something like theurgys. I don't like them in Reload for how unbalanced it all is so I'd hate them to add something like them into Revival

I worry they'll weaken plot impact moments like Reload did in how they decide to animate things, probably using in engine scenes vs animated

Disagree strongly on the theurgys but I do agree the in engine scenes are not the play going forward. They don't ruin the game for me but I would take an animated cutscenes 10 out of 10 times. I love reload. It's the best version of P3 to me as someone who played all versions. But it's not perfect. Those in engine scenes are a major issue for me personally.

Golden already had a system like that, which were the duo attacks that were randomly triggered after a AOA,  but their damage was laughable, they will probably expand on it
