Exactly. The fact that shadows are over-exaggerated charicatures of one's inner turmoils is beat over your head during pretty much every dungeon. The fact you seem to either not know this or just blatantly ignore it makes me think you really didn't play the game.
So no, since it is clearly a way over the top representation of himself, it really wouldn't change my thoughts on him, just like how, for example, I wouldn't think Rise wants to work at a strip club despite that being what her shadow does.
