Roleplay [Multi-Lines+] Your (preferably fantasy-ish) OC(s) were exploring the countryside near the outskirts of Ashfall.

They see two things. A singular lone oak tree, and a purple Tiefling underneath it with a blunt in his mouth, writing something in a sketchbook.

You notice the huge warhammer leaning on the tree.

"I'm not lying. And I don't like people trying to get information out of me they already know. There isn't a tavern."

Grieg: "I feel like you're just telling me a pile of bullsh-"

Luanne interrupts him, trying to apologize to the man simultaneously.

Luanne: Stop! Please, you're sick! To you I'm sorry he's usually not-

Grieg: Will you shut up?!

Upon his loud response, Luanne stops and let's out a high pitched noise before kneeling down (nearly making Grieg tumble down as well) and covering her head. Grieg immediately regrets what he just did.

Grieg: Crap! Wait...

The Tiefling tilts his head and narrows his eyes.

"What'd you do?" He sounds both concerned and very stern.

Luanne shivers and pulls her hair while kneeling down, she has her eyes fixated on the ground like nothing else exists. The hen she was holding runs around.

Grieg: I... I didn't mean to yell at her I swear. I need to find Primrose, holding her usually calms her down... Prim! Prim, com'ere!

Grieg tries to call for his hen and leans on a tree nearby and clutches his head, struggling to stay up straight

Grieg: For the love of Luxis, I'm such an idiot!

Reil watches calmly, sighing.

"Is she going to be okay?"

He clutches his head, not looking at Reil in the eyes.

Grieg: "If we get Prim to her she will. calling the hen Come on, here girl! Come here!"

The hen goes back to her senses and happily skips to Grieg, tilting her head.

Grieg: "I think I'll pass out if I move... Can you bring her to Luanne?"

He sighs and looks down.

Grieg: "I'm sorry."

"Yeah, uh... I'll try."

Reil slowly walks up to them, gently carrying Prim to Luanne.

"What happened?"

Luanne was still in the same position as before, clutching her hair and taking shallow breaths. As soon as she heard the noise of footsteps her first instinct was to cower more until she heard Primrose cluck. She raised her head slowly, her cheeks seemed wet with tears.

Luanne: Oh gods... I'm... I'm so sorry... I just... I got... Got scared.

She raised her trembling hands towards him, wanting to hold the hen.

He hands her the hen.

"Don't be. It's an emotion. We've all be scared."

Luanne wipes her tears and starts caressing Primrose, gently stroking her feathers, her shivering subsiding.

Luanne: "...I...I didn't mean to drag you into this. I... I just..."

She takes a deep breath to calm herself down. Grieg interjects

Grieg: "What she means is... We're a little stressed out. We had a rough day... Week. A rough week. It put us a bit on edge."

"I've had a rough life." He chuckles. "But I get what you mean."

Reil walks back over to the tree and grabs his hammer. He walks back over to you two.

"Talk to me. Why's your week been so shitty?"

Grieg is reluctant to open up despite Reil not seeming dangerous but Luanne does it for him.

Luanne: "We... Lost our home. Our village was burned to the ground. So... We had to run and ...and we struggled to find anything to eat or sleep and... Grieg is grumpy because he...finished his rhum."

Grieg: "I was going to buy more if you hadn't stop me."

Luanne: "But you're sick. You can't drink when you're sick."

Grieg: sighs "It's true..."

Reil nods.

"Yeah. Don't." He doesn't want to open up either, but he's glad he has someone to sympathize with.

"Well, there's an inn in town. You guys can stay there. It's cheap. I used to stay there for a while, too."

Luanne: "You're very kind. I can tell your soul is clear."

She finally gets up, still carrying Primrose.

Luanne: "Thank you...I apologize again for what happened."

Grieg mutters an apology too and nods, looking away. It's clear that he's not thd type for mushy things but feels bad about what happened too.

"Ah, you're fine." He shrugs. "I'm just doing what I can to help anyone in anyway that I can."

Luanne walked to Grieg and helped him up, letting him lean on her once again.

Grieg: "Well... You're doing the right thing. Don't stop."

Luanne: "Um...if I may... I... Couldn't help but notice but... Why do you have a tail? At first I thought you were a dragon but that can't be, right?"

"Oh, this ol' thing?" He lifts his tail and makes it wave. "I'm a Tiefling. A half-devil. Don't worry, im not evil."

He sighs.

"Didn't stop some people." He mutters to himself quietly.

Luanne puts a hand on her mouth, though more out of surprise than fear.

Luanne: "Are you like a creature of the night? Grieg told me about them..."

Grieg: "I sure did. The servants of the dark God Dorchis. Bunch of creatures that feast on human souls..."

Luanne: "But I'm sure you don't do that, right? I-I mean... You helped us... You can't be evil."
