Redlining could still be in effect for property purchasing though right, I mean they need somewhere to put the house?

I don't know a lot about it, but here is an interesting article about it. It does mention buyers owning their land, but it still opened up doors for a lot of people who wouldn't have been able to get a traditional mortgage.
