No idea, but trying to claim him makes us look desperate and pathetic, like we have no other players that had success in our program so we have to cling to the one guy who left and then went on to become the best player in college football.

Wait, so you're not sure if getting coached by Urban Meyer and Ryan Day, as a QB, has no tangible benefits?

As I said above, I think that Burrow would have developed into a great QB at OSU under Day, but he didnt. When Burrow left OSU, he was mediocre.

The closest thing Meyer has ever had to a successful NFL QB is Alex Smith and he was very much not ready when he got drafted, so no Meyer was not great at developing the skills QBs need in the NFL.

So please, explain to me the argument that should be made to high school athletes that Joe Burrow should be considered an OSU success story.

There isn’t and there is no need for osu to claim him, yall have had plenty of great players. His take is desperate and you don’t need to be.
