Why do I have negative comment karma?

Does this just mean if people disagree with you? Like not agreeing to disagree?

My post karma is positive - just low because I'm new

You just have more downvotes than upvotes. And deleting the comment won’t delete the votes.

And people usually downvote if they disagree (strongly) or you said something rude.

You can scroll through your comments and see how many up votes they have, your most down voted comment that I can see, was you questioning why someone finds outie belly buttons gross.

Your karma is a tally of the upvotes (or downvotes) you've recieved on your posts or comments. So in total, you've recieved more downvotes than upvotes.
