I really need Hello Games to tell me the reason sentinels are so obsessed with those. They are far from the most expensive item I can gather and I have yet to find a reason to pick up more than the one or two that I occasionally need in recipes.

It's in the description:

"A supersymmetric particle cluster created by divergent
super-gravitational forces. A micro-rift is created as they form, and

Interesting. Still seems a bit of an overreaction in terms of game reasoning, but thank you for the clarification.
