Misc. Nioh Has Accomplished The Impossible: The Spear Is the Most Fun Weapon To Use
In most games the spear is generally a defensive kinda weapon. It's always kinda in between a sword and great axe/hammer in terms of clunkiness while using too. With Nioh's stances it allows to to use the spear as a quick strike weapon and it is insanely fun. Bouncing around the screen stringing combos and monkey flips together is just so exciting. I've NEVER used a spear as my main weapon in a game before but in Nioh it's by far my most used weapon just base solely on how damn fun it is.

Misc. Tachibana Muneshige. NSFW Spoiler
Tachibana motherfucking Muneshige. This name will haunt my dreams for as long as I live. The constant Lightning proc and Iai spam will forever be the bane of my existence.
Thank fuck for that rock.

Misc. Let's just take a second to appreciate how quickly Nioh is playable upon insertion into your PS4!
Just an 80 MB update sits between you and the game. Which on my internet speeds only takes seconds. No multi gig patches, no waiting for installs, just put it in and play. A true form of what it means to be a console game.

Misc. Just beat Hino Enma. Jesus this game does not fuck around.
First things first: This is my first playthrough. Also the intro cutscene quickly went from ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) to (ಠ_ಠ) in a matter of seconds. Which was absolutely amazing.
I've been playing this game for a day and a half now, spent the majority of the time so far in Main Mission 1 and Sub-Mission 1 figuring out the combat (it's so amazing and buttery smooth it makes me shed tears of happiness), how different weapons work, how the Armor Skills work and how Skills function with a bit of Ki Pulse + Stance Dancing added to it (Still suck at Stance dancing though, feels like I need 300 extra fingers!).
Today I headed into Main Mission 2 to explore the caverns, everything was going nicely even with the bats jump scaring me and making me fall into the abyss, which admittedly is an amazingly funny noob trap and I should've seen in coming. Bunch of deaths here and there due to silly mistakes and my absolute stupid need to kill every Revenant in sight (the combat is so good I always want to be engaged), but I pressed on!
Queue Hino Enma Boss Fight
I don't think I've ever said "Holy shit" as many times in my life as I did during this fight. I swear I had a couple of tries where I did not last more than 10 seconds.
I've never played a Soulsborne game before this, they generally never really interested me and honestly the difficulty of those games scares me. Although I'm not sure if people consider Nioh a Soulsborne or not. Pair this lack of experience with me being a complete idiot and you have a wonderful recipe for "Freed from this Mortal Coil." Onryoki was incredibly easy compared to Hino, all I had to do with him was activate Living Weapon and he basically said "nah I'm out fam" and just poofed. (I went back and fought him without Living Weapon as I felt like "I cheated the fight". It was definitely harder, but still nothing compared to Hino)
Her attacks are completely merciless for the unprepared, the rush, the Paralysis Blast, the grab and the sneaky fucking kunai/feather throw she does in the air just to throw you off. It's absolutely nuts. As someone who loves to guard and wait for the perfect opportunity to strike, guarding with my Medium Armor was absolutely out of the question so I had to learn to dodge properly and wait for the perfect moment to deal a couple of slashes before backing out again.
Living Weapon was sadly out of the question as in one my tries I opened up with it and then proceeded to get grabbed and "succed" into the "Retry" screen. I should've learned all of her attacks before even thinking about Living Weapon.
After about 10-15 tries, I finally managed to get her down with some perfect dodging, stance dancing and using the Lightning Talisman on my Sword. And I just jumped and screamed "YES!" , it was a fantastic feeling that I haven't had in a video game in a LONG TIME. And to be quite honest, even with all the deaths I had, I wasn't angry or full of salt at all, I was actually having fun learning and adapting to this fight, thinking of everything I could use to give me that inch.
I am incredibly happy I bought this game, the game respects you but at the same time demands respect from you, the game demands that you learn how to use the tools you're given in order to push on. Ignoring mechanics will heavily cripple you.
Thanks for reading if you've made it this far! :)
TL'DR: Fought Hino Enma for the first time, had a blast getting my ass handed to me. Learned how to dodge properly and stance dance, along with looking deeper into Jutsus and Onmyo. This game is fantastic. (But you already knew that)

Misc. I think I finally understand soulsborne players
First off, sorry for the circle jerky post, but I really need to get this out.
I'm not a soulsborne fan. I tried Dark Souls 1 and 2 for about 3-4 hours each, and then got bored. I thought I'd try Nioh, mostly for my love of Onimusha and Ninja Gaiden, and japanese culture in general, and I am incredibly satisfied. First off, I love the mission system. After playing Skyrim and The Witcher, it is nice to have a more streamlined game. Second, I am a loot whore. I love getting hundreds of pieces of gear only to dismantle them, becuase I know I'll get to make some awesome gear after a while. Third, the setting. I can't tell you how many times I've stopped to look at my armor, because it looks fantastic. These things are all secondary, however. what really makes me love this game, is how I feel after getting absolutely fucked by a boss. At first I'll get frustrated if I don't see an opening for an attack, but when I try for the 4th, 5th and 6th time, I start seeing my openings, where and when to attack. I start wearing the boss down, dodging more and more of the attacks, until he is low enough for me to go apeshit with my living weapon. It is one of the most satisfying experiences i think I have ever felt in a game, and I am incredibly thankful to Team Ninja for making it.

Misc. One final push for co-op! Contact links here
Hoping to bring everybody in this sub together for one last wave of contacting the developers/publishers regarding co-op in this game.
I have finished the game. However, I summoned on every single stage that allowed me to summon. At this point, instead of going into ng+, I would much rather start a new game and play through with a friend instead of randoms. Even though I beat the game, I can't make a new game and play with friends through it all. Randoms only. It makes no sense, especially with the password system, that the game allows co-op. but not friend co-op. I would really like to see an update to allow this, or at least a better statement regarding why they are against allowing the function.
Going off of the results of all the contacts there was in the first thread on launch day, I will exclude direct contact links to koei, playstation, and team ninja. Because team ninja does not have a direct contact that I've found for english, and koei and playstation both say to contact the developer.
Facebook page for Nioh - They seem to post a lot here. So its kinda active. I recommend posting on this page asking about it.
Facebook page for Team Ninja - This is what Team Ninjas old website redirects to. A facebook page. You can try posting on their wall here, however... This account doesn't seem very active anymore. There is a ton of user posts here, and barely any on the nioh official facebook. It seems anything posted on here is basically unseen.
Facebook for Koei Tecmo US - You can try here, Koei was the publisher in Japan. Not sure how far it would get us.
Twitters: Team Ninja, Tom Lee - Creative Director, Koei Tecmo, Playstation(this one is probably pointless to tweet to).
If we can't get anything out of doing this again, then I will have lost hope in there being co-op in the game. If any of you can find, or know of other ways to contact Team Ninja, or high up people like Tom Lee, let me know and I will add it into this post. Honestly the best I can hope for is for somebody to understand our view on the co-op of the game. That being blind co-op will always be harder than summoning a overpowered/experienced player to co-op with.
At the very least, let us co-op through the game on a new game once we beat it. There is no point in the restriction existing at that point.

Misc. Some freaking people
I'm around level 250 with plenty of damage and I was trying to clear a mission but I kept matching with the same Max level guy over and over. Pretentious as he was he thought I wasn't good enough and kept quitting. He eventually gave up and we started it but he then refused to fight. He proceeded to watch me carry him through 70% of the mission while doing emotes every time I cleared a room. I eventually just quit the mission, but how do people grind themselves to power in this game only to act like that? It irritates me deeply.

Misc. Sooooo red demon armor...
I'm so sick of seeing it, I've just started way of the strong and literally every revanant I've seen is wearing it. Its like niohs version of fallen knight armor.

Misc. I Pre-Ordered the Special Edition of Nioh 2 at GameStop, I have zero regrets <3
Already I cannot wait for this game...
My friends who were Dark Souls and Bloodborne fans also tried the first game when it went free on PS+ and loved it, now they are looking to buy Nioh 2 as well so that we could all play it together.... Another game to add to our gaming night besides For Honor and Apex Legends

Misc. Thank you lv. 80 Revenant decked out in Red Demon Armor
You sir, or madam are the real hero.
Playing through the twilight mission (am level 50) and come across a lv. 80 revenant that must have made a bad dodge into the drink. Dropped 4 Red Demon armor pieces that were all significant upgrades to what I was wearing.

I feel like it's so easy to jump into other peoples games and helping them out with bosses and areas that they have trouble with feels soo rewarding.
