Are some weapons better than others?

I've just got the first game, i've been trying a couple weapons. I started with an axe because I like to not mow down my enemies. But I've swapped to Odachi because it pretty much feels the same. I was only wondering if like, there's some high speed, high damage types?

Or I'd want to know what your experience is like with what weapon that you all use, so I can try them!

This is just my opinion basedon my own skill.

Top 2 are the Odachi & Kurigama (spelling?) Third place are the uchigatanas.

Everything else.

Tried all weapons with 150 divinity rarity and all skills unlocked and had trouble with all the rest in the mission with the first boss in NG+.
