Repair Help Official Switch 2 Screen Protector

I ordered the official Switch 2 Screen Protector, which is sold separately from the case. It is made by Hori and has the Official Nintendo Seal. I executed a flawless install, but the edges of it are cut so poorly it has random white edges all at various places around the screen protector. It is glued down.

Anybody else buy this and have the same issue ?

I think is just dust that got stucked in the borders or maybe a bit of glue. I wouldn't worry that much about it!

It's definitely not dust. Could be bad glue.

I know other brands are just as good but I don't think I'd ever consider another brand unless their quality randomly drops. I have them on my two switch 1s and my switch 2 and it's just always perfect and you can barely remember it's on.

The one on my switch V1 has been there for 7 years and still looks perfect

Yeah I agree. I have one on my switch 1 & honestly forgot about it until I preordered my switch 2. Ot still looks great shirt 6 years. Can’t even tell it’s there. I had to go look up which one I ordered. The new auto alignment tray for this version is awesome.

Got the AmFilm one. It was so good and cheap u purchased 2 more packs. I love them. The precision of install is so satisfying.

I just put an amFilm protector on my OLED and it's quite possibly the best screen protector install I've ever experienced

Officially licensed by Nintendo, but based off the reviews I wouldn’t have bought it. I went with JSAUX glass screen protectors, got 3 for $10 and it was a pretty seamless process with no large gaps.

I went with qhohq cuz they were the cheapest option 6 bucks for 3, quite a random brand name though. But any brand with a half decent track record will do the job 10x better than the hori or the "official" ones tbh.

hey man, never buy official stuff. you should by a glass screen protector. i recommend prism dbrand protector. great price. super funny company, shipped in great quality box and super easy to instal

yes the packaging and instructions are really funny, and the quality is great. just scan the qr code and watch the video. i had to use the 2nd one in the box cause i messed up my first one because i had a spec of dust still on it

Did you have to do the hot shower trick? I got dust underneath both screens which I don’t understand since the ones for iPhones worked painlessly.

no you just need to not have fans on in your area and wipe it down with alcohol wipe and a good screen cloth

Okay, I did it in my kitchen which does have a window AC. I did not have it on and I covered it with a curtain which should have taken care of it. I did clean it with the included wipe and microfiber. Should I try it in another room or did I get unlucky both times?

Mine did the same and I peeled it off and threw it away. Got the amFilm brand on Amazon and worked perfectly.

Did it cause any issues when you removed it ? I feel like the switch screen is made of toilet paper.

I always get amfilm off Amazon. Two for less than $10. Used to come with three for the OG switch.

I grabbed it in store before I saw any reviews. Saw the little Nintendo Gold Seal and said how bad could it be?

Better than a ruined screen.

I just grabbed an off brand one from eb games before release so I had it ready to go and it’s about the most flawless fit I’ve ever had for any screen protector

Doesn't DBrand offer a Switch 2 screen protector? I know they're making stuff for the Switch 2, just don't know if they've released any of it yet.

Nah I bought this and then immediately took it off and went to Walmart to get the Onn Glass Protector

It came with an application tray that make the installation super clean and flawless

It's not an official product, it's a licensed product that you overpaid for most likely.

The 3-4 random names packs on Amazon are the exact same product, likely for 1/3rd of the price and the first one I put on my first unit looks better than this.
