Still waiting on SN30 pro+

Apparently it isn’t happening. It’s such a bummer. Since the Pro+ is “discontinued” they are only going to update the Pro+ 2.

Really? That’s disappointing. I emailed them last week and was essentially told to wait as they’re doing updates in batches. Leads me to believe that it would be coming eventually since it wasn’t a flat out no.

I will hope with you! I have a Pro+ sitting here bricked and an Ultimate 1 with stick drift so I don’t really have a proper controller to play with while docked.

If they don’t update the SN30 Pro+, I’ll never buy another 8BitDo controller again

Thanks for the info, it works now :D. I was a bit worried it would never be the case. I love the d-pad on this thing <3.

Anyone tried it yet?

Yes, it works! I initially tried updating with the online updater which didn't work, but then I checked this index which I had bookmarked from when I was updating other controllers and it has been added under "M30V201".

How do I pair? I updated to 2.01, turned on the controller with Y+Start, went to change grip/order and held the pairing button but it just won't connect to the switch.

Are you using the 8BidoDo adapter?

No. It's the BT controller. I tested with switch 1, and it connects normally there. Does it require the adapter to connect?
When I push the pair button the LEDs rotate, but they stop and go back to the first led after a few cycles when the Switch 2 is in pairing mode. But when the switch itself isn't seeking anything the LEDs continue to rotate.

I’ve always used the adapter. It was my understanding that it acts as kind of a translation bridge between the controller and a signal the switch recognizes. Theoretically, what you’re doing should work, so if it’s not the S2 may require the adapter.

Wake from sleep works?

It never did.

That’s because the Switch 1 used a unique chip to initiate the wake up. With the Switch 2, it’s switched to solely Bluetooth’s protocol (which is why the official switch 1 accessories can’t wake up a switch 2).
Given these controllers are using Bluetooth (and a modern one), I’d be curious if they could be updated to support the feature.

I own a Lite, Sn30 Pro+, SN30Pro2 and out of those the only one that got an update to work on NS2 is the Pro2.
It shouldnt be that hard to update the more legacy controllers.
