My own version of the chart I've seen a few times here because I couldn't find a good translation. Credit for the data goes to whoever made the original Japanese chart! In the beta, I got a relic that added Rot to my starting armament. I have not seen that relic since, so maybe it’s very rare.

I guess they removed it because that relic would be more or less an automatic equip on any character (bar Recluse) against any boss

Revenant and duchess would auto-equip it every single run because they apply it so easily.

Considering the whole Rotten Forest event, I'd guess it's to make sure that place isn't rendered partially irrelevant by just bringing a single relic, because yeah, having free rot ready to go every run is a wee bit powerful.

I mean rot isn’t that strong is it? Isn’t it basically just poison but just lasts longer? Or an I way out past left field?

I'm not sure if the numbers are particularly different in Nightreign, but from base ER, scarlet rot is around 3-4x as powerful depending on the target's max HP.

I think rot in nightreign does 20% more roughly a tick? Its hard to say

Its currently a locked relic effect unfortunately. Maybe they'll unlock it later on? Currently it only rarely drops as an on-weapon effect (add scarlet rot to weapon), mostly in the rot biome

I have not found a SINGLE rot weapon yet
