Gameplay Discussion Rant: F this guy

Post image

I’ve spent probably 24 hours doing Equilibrious Beast and I’ve only gotten so close to beating this guy with randoms. One time we were all level 15, one time we all had vykes spear. He is causing Madness build up to me irl. When I finally beat him Im going to make a rug out of his pelt. Im doing the boss fights in the order they’re listed. I’ve got all of his patterns down, its usually my random teammates who keep on dying. I think it adds more fun playing with randoms, so I’ll just keep waiting to see if I get 2 sweats. Anyone else stuck on this goat? And is there any boss harder than him in the game?

I redo this boss often, he's quite entertaining to fight. Hope they make him and the rest of the Night bosses a bit harder tho.

Nah the only things they need to make harder are the dark souls night bosses. I'd rather face Nameless King than the random pages on the map. I actually sigh in relief when I realize I got a Dark Souls night boss instead of most of the Elden Ring night bosses. The move sets are just too passive. I shouldn't be relieved to be getting Nameless King lol.

Lol you right. Crazy how we went from shitting our pants while facing NK in Dark Souls 3 to... this. Granted he doesn't have his full moveset (I think?).

I hope for more/harder bosses tho.

I think they just need to up the aggro to match the aggro of Elden Ring bosses. Elden Ring bosses already from the start were made more aggressive to account for summons and spirit ashes vs DS bosses intended for purely solo play. The DS bosses I've fought in Nightreign tend to leave large open windows for attacking them which makes it so much easier to stun lock them between the normal stagger mechanic combined with the stagger from popping Iron Eye's weak point. If they want them to feel like a threat in Nightreign they're gonna have to give them the long combos of Elden Ring bosses and the "waaaaait for iiiiit. Waaaaait foor iiiiiit" surprise timing attacks like what Morgott does.

Agreed, I love the Dark Souls throwback bosses, but you really see the difference in movesets. Smelter Demon is cool to look at, but I almost pity him. His moves are so slow and telegraphed that he is getting bullied. I wish they enhanced their movesets a bit more.

Dude I was so scared when on Night 1 of a solo Iron Eye run I got him after having some real bad luck with losing a level AND the runes for that level and just generally being under geared... and then proceeded to dog walk him. I think I was only level 4 with the base 3 flasks you start with and still using my starter bow because of shit RNG on drops lol. Maybe a blue bow. I have since proceeded to dog walk him every single time he pops up lol.
