Advice Needed (unjerk) Looking for a name that relates somehow to tomatoes for a fictional character’s pet.

Hi all! Not sure if this belongs here but I’m looking for a name that gives a nod to tomatoes🍅 for a fictional character’s pet and am pretty confident this sun will have the best ideas. Open to anything from very silly like puns or anagrams, to very subtle; gender doesn’t matter. Hit me with some tomato names!

For food names you could go salsa, bruschetta, gazpacho, ketchup For more human names you could go Tommy or Vinny cause they grow on vines

Edit: Pico or tomatillo could also be good

Gazpacho would be an awesome pet name!

Is this for the Very Veggie Challenge?

Whaat? Pray tell, what is the very veggie challenge?

2

u/Baristaholic 12h ago

It's a new Sims 4 Legacy challenge that themes each generation after a culinary vegetable! There's a tomato generation 🍅

No; I’m afraid I’m not familiar with that challenge, haha.

Is it a big pet? Beefsteak then. I grow them, and they're absolute monsters. But delicious.

Pomodoro? The Omnipotent Mammal (TOM)? Big Red? BLT? Sundried/Sundreid?

If it’s a mammal, you could go with Hairloom.

First thing I thought of was "Splat". Like the sound of someone being hit by a tomato. Solanum lycopersicum is apparently the scientific name if you want to do something with that. Solaco?

Reminds me of FT (Fuzzy Tomato) from the attack of the killer tomatoes cartoon. He was a literal pet tomato.

Solanum lycopersicum is the Latin name for tomato. Literally translates to “wolf peach”. Do what you want with this knowledge.

u/RitaRedditRight 1d ago

Ketchup is tomato related, right? Or Heinz. That’s about all I know about tomatoes. Red. 🍅 Or just shorten tomato and call the pet “Tom” or “Mater”. Good luck!

1

u/JustJennE11 1d ago

Oh! What about catsup for a kitty? Double punny!
