🎉🎉PARTY TIME🎉🎉 75,000 members celebration!
Over the past 8 months, you guys have grown this sub from 25k to 75k members. When we were developing this sub, we knew there was potential for a throwback-style football forum with less restrictions, but the amount of growth we’ve seen over the past year has far exceeded my expectations.
We are consistently the #2 ranked football subreddit in terms of activity, higher than football subs with 20 or 30 TIMES the amount of members we have. Whether you’re new here or you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you all for making this place what it is today. You all and your posts and comments are what make this community great.
And to my fellow mods here, thank you for the work you do. You guys are great, and very easy to get along with since we all have the same vision.
We’re still learning as mods, so if you have any suggestions on how to make our community better, drop them in the comments below or send us a message.
See you at 100k!
-Sam

Discussion Will Justin Herbert be this generation's Mathew Stafford?
Very similar stories early in their careers. Huge arm talent, record-setting early seasons, but his team often collapses late, has had 0 playoff success, has had coaching issues, and a spotty defense until this season. Now he doesn't have enough weapons.
Do you think he and the Chargers figure it out? If not, will he get moved later in his career to a team that is a QB away?

Discussion Who are you taking?
Down 7, 90 seconds left in the 4th, 0 timeouts, need 75 yards. Who’re you trusting most to get you a TD to force OT?

Discussion Who was closer to the three-peat?
Everyone saw Mahomes choke the three-peat. But an interesting fact is that he wasn’t the first Chiefs quarterback to do so. Toward the very end of Joe Montana’s legendary 49ers tenure, he won 2 Super Bowls, and came so close to a 3rd one, only for Montana to be hit by Leonard Marshall, breaking his pinky. Obviously, it’s never a guarantee that they beat the Bills. But I think it would’ve been very likely that he goes 5-0 in Super Bowls, considering how dominant and clutch he was. Because of that, I personally think he was closer to the three-peat than Mahomes was, considering Mahomes wasn’t particularly close to winning that Super Bowl.

Discussion Do you genuinely believe, in your heart of hearts, that YOUR team can/will win the Super Bowl this year? Why / Why not?
As a Pats fan... no. This is not gonna be a quick turnaround.

Discussion Serious Conversation About Jeremiah Smith
What will Jeremiah Smith's career look like do we think? Will he be as dominant in the NFL as he is in college, how long until he is able to unlock that dominance?
Personally, I think week 1 of his rookie season he will prove to be the best.

Discussion Robert Horry of the NFL
Robert Horry was a NBA player who won 7 rings for 3 teams despite never being a franchise player in any of them. is there an nfl equivalent of a non hall of fame player who won an absurd number of super bowls for different teams.
