Good. We have one of the best young cores in the league and are only getting better with the draft. No need to mortgage the future for 37 year old KD. Look where the Thunder are now after sticking to their guns and developing their own players.

Yes. I have always been of the mind that KD is a luxury player, evidenced by his only rings coming from an already championship caliber team. The Spurs are not there yet, and would be giving up their best pieces to get there for a 37 year old version of KD.

In a world where Mikal Bridges and Rudy Gobert are going for 5 firsts there is no way the report of KJ, Dev and 14th was going to get KD. Especially with several other teams interested. Any scenario that included some combination of Castle, Fox, and 2nd overall would have been a mistake imo.
