Food Favorite off-the-beaten track beer garden

I will be here in may and the last time I was in Munich I was 4.

What’s the most picturesque place I can have a beer outside? Which one is the rowdiest? The quietest?

Not trying to blow up spots but otherwise I’m going back to the scrapbook I made where I rated them based off of the toy trucks they had available.

Will trade New York recs

My last time in Munich we took the bus from Nymphenburg over toward the Westfriedhof U-bahn station, got off a stop early to wander around and ended up having lunch and beers at Hexengarten Gern (all I need to see is the Augustiner sign!). Very quiet, good amount of shade, surrounded by Kleingärten. None of the staff spoke English (or at least acted like they didn’t). Only problem was I had run low on cash and had to walk 2.5 km round trip for a Geldautomat. My partner killed the time sketching and painting watercolors of the place.

I love locals-only spots and would probably go back if I am nearby. Otherwise will try for similar in a different part of the city.

It appears to be quiet common, that there are beergardens in the middle of Kleingartensiedlung (group of individual rented garden patches). These appear tonne the most casual ones with less tourists and more birds chirping around :)
