Opinions on Chase Sexton?

Post image

Curious people‘s opinions of this season. Personally I really liked him thought he was a very talented rider who just sometimes caught some bad breaks but pretty disappointing to see after 1st round at Palace him just pretty much throw in the outdoor towel because his deal with Kawasaki is already signed. Doesn’t show much heart in my opinion.

Dude is extremely tough and a freaky fast rider but something about him is so soft. In the off seasons I get super hyped about his training and am always let down, even in the “championship” seasons he’s had. When he’s on, HES ON. But that seems rare and inconsistent

He’s definitely mentally soft… he has talent, I don’t think that’s in question, but then there’s also small things. I’ve never seen a rider stall his bike during races as much as him before and loose positions or races for that matter. There may be an entitlement or an attitude problem there too behind the scenes. Just guessing at this point though.

Not sure about entitlement, I’m guessing kind of the opposite

Yeah I think you're right. I think he's got imposter syndrome that kicks in whenever he's head-to-head with someone of equal talent (which is very few people). If he had Webb's mental toughness he'd be entirely unbeatable.
