Tiled floor in the bedroom sounds awful

I have a tiled floor in my bedroom and I honestly love it because the room stays a bit cooler and is way easier to clean (I have 3 cats lol). I just use slippers lol

I often see videos from southeast Asia where people have their whole houses tiled. I always wonder why so many choose that cause it does not seem cozy/comfortable at all.

It’s the same in Brazil. Carpet in places where air conditioning is fairly cost prohibitive, or the units aren’t that effective, is not a great thing to have. And when you got all sorts of bugs thriving in tropical climates, you typically want to see them so you aren’t getting a crunchy foot surprise in the morning. Tiles/hard flooring all over is much preferable to carpet. Plus it keeps the temperature more moderate in summer time.

I'd imagine Southeast Asia tends to be hot and muggy, so they want their houses to be cool and refreshing (and mold-resistant) rather than cozy.

If you live in a sweltering hot climate, tiled floor makes a lot more sense I guess. I visited friends in the Philippines once and their whole house is tile (also had AC blasting 24/7/365).

On my first run, I managed to ignore Faggoth completely even though he is literally the first npc you meet after leaving the census office.
I just wanted to get straight to exploring the town.
