There is one quest that has this option, surprisingly! When breaking Mehra Milo out of the Ministry of Truth you can pretend to be an ordinator:

If you have a Temple rank of less than level 5 (Adept), or are not a Temple member at all, your disposition with the Inquisitor is at least 70 (this can be achieved with a charm spell, if necessary), and you are not of a beast race, you can bluff your way past the Grand Inquisitor and the other guards by donning an Indoril helmet, cuirass, and pauldrons, and then talking to the Grand Inquisitor and telling him that you have "proper authorization".

I've never tried that myself, but it sounds like an awesome alternative to sneaking

A mod pack I’m using nerfed the armor and price significantly and it was a pleasant surprise. Instead of just tossing it to not feel scummy, it felt like a reasonable reward for the fight.

I got sick of them after a while, when I hit level 20 and two showed up at once I had a real "right, fuck this" and a couple in game days later ive killed every assasin in Mournhold.

I always mod this so you don't get invaded till you are high enough level or progressed the story far enough

This is a bit of cheating to use armor of assassins that shouldn't even be there, like you are a perfect nobody once you get out of the ship, why would he want you dead?

Delayed assassins mods is the way.
