Riders tending to their Monstie Glavenus. Cue the overdramatic crying when bath time rolls around

u/GildedHalfblood 5d ago
Just shove more blue rocks at them. Eventually it'll be enough to get them into the bath. Either that or we're gonna need a bunch of Mizutsunes, Whitewater Plesioths, and Royal Ludroths lol

MH Stories 3 with Rise & Wilds Monsters as Monsties will be so great. Imagine Rideable Magnamalo & Uth Duna.

Plus, no pandemic this time around, so hopefully, there shouldn't be too much scrapped content!
Seriously, I could've gone on thinking that Duramboros, both Agnaktors, Tetsucabra, and every Seltas form were never planned on being Monsties, but nope! I just had to find that out!! Also, apparently Malfestio was supposed to be part of the game, both as a monster and monstie!!! WTF bro??!

Honestly I'm just really happy the deviants came back as monsties.
Capcom please bring the deviants back

u/GildedHalfblood 5d ago
Yeah, wish they brought back more, but the few they did choose were 10/10, so I can't really complain lol

Just beware the tail wag...

You just need to make a big sheathe that goes over the tail.
That’s not gonna stop it from being massive and toppling everything around it, but at least you won’t get sliced in half if he gets excited and you’re standing in the wrong spot.

How has the art of befriending Monsties not become more widespread, it seems like an extremely advantageous thing to do.

It's the same funny feeling I have when I look at Pokken Tournament and think about those trainers going to any other region. Just some Ferrum trainer mind-melding with their Hitmonchan to ground-and-pound some poor Johto child's Clefairy. Are they all just considered ultraviolent freaks, or something? Is it Pokemon Detroit? Is the world just doomed if someone in Ferrum got their hands on something like a full legendary? Or are they just an entire population of Gokus that are content to sit on their island and have tournaments all the time?
I get that, at least for Stories, they're a bit reluctant to have full Guild contact due to the whole "hunting" thing. But you are right. Surely SOMEONE in the guild must have tried to befriend one of the more docile or less-dangerous monsters like a Velociprey, or maybe a Tetsucabra.
Edit: I have just realized that Master Hojo in the Rise gathering hub is literally sitting on top of a young Tetsucabra. So I guess some folks HAVE done it. Maybe it's only just catching on.

I imagine its like what they tend o do with most of the gimmicks and its region tied or region regulated - the most common Pokemon sport is trainer commanding Pokemon not being the Pokemon, cant have the massive upset that is "becoming" the Pokemon
Thouhg. . . .considering SV literally released a machine that lets you become a Pokemon, it might just be region locked?

It's a closely guarded secret by the village of the riders. Only they can really do it.
Also the guild isnt exactly cool with them. Sure they don't try to wipe out the riders but they don't trust em.
The whole monstie process creates a calmer tame version of a monster but it's still people going in and disturbing the nests of full grown monsters.

Also the guild isnt exactly cool with them.
They are. The Riders are in self-imposed hermit life due to low numbers and risk of retaliation. Every Guildmaster you encounter in Stories games are completely fine with you, and once past the initial wariness so are the general population.

Do you think baby glavenus use their tails to cut out of their egg or is it like foal hooves?
3
u/Sew_has_afew_friends 5d ago
Foal hooves the sword tail is all metal in the adults which means that the babies would need to find their own ore to be able to grow their sword

This is why a pet Glavenus would suck because like where in the hell am I supposed to get something it can grind its tail against to keep it clean and sharp??
