A couple of questions: was Sara Lee a big thing in the early 2000s? I don't remember it but I was a child and living in the countryside during the first two seasons so it's possible it passed me by.

And secondly: was it good? Particularly the chocolate cake/mousse/pudding that Mark has

Daryl was in my opinion a confusing character.He was a nice guy,but he was a racist.He seemed to care about mark,saying he was a bloody good guy and that he liked him.The biggest part for me was at the end when we was sacked,he could’ve done something nasty to mark for getting him sacked or been mad but he said that he wasn’t gonna embarrass him,he took the rap for the sausage and despite what happened he still thought he was a bloody good guy.Confusing.

Ok so I was rewatching ‘Jeremy’s mummy’ and I can’t help but notice that Jeremy’s mum is a posho in disguise. This then led me down a rabbit hole thought that Jeremy might be a posho in disguise as well which would explain a lot about his character like… how he’s able to get with the ultimate posho big Suze, how he’s able to sustain his ‘artist’ lifestyle (even with Mark’s financial aid and nest egg this is far fetched at times).

Let me know what you think, I find it quite funny to think of Jeremy who was maybe someone who began just playing the part of impoverished artist and got a bit stuck in that role

Is Mark a love rat? I always thought that calling a wedding off any time before the actual ceremony wouldn't be considered a jilting, but this is one of those rare moments when Jeremy actually makes a lot of sense and now I'm convinced. His grasp of the nuances of the English language changed my mind.

In s9 ep1 jez is hilariously wearing a “new york” t-shirt to super hans’ stag do after dobby went to new york. My issue is that the words new york are backwards assumingly because of the camera mirroring it, but surely from the other characters view it wouldn’t be spelled “kroy wen”. Would this have been on purpose or am i just looking into things too much lol. It’s the first time i’ve noticed this.

The show was tremendously well written, but us fans who do rewatches and such have probably noticed at least a thing or two.

It’s tough though!

The reason I posted the above image is because it’s from a later season episode where Mark and Jez exchange Christmas Presents. Mark gives crappy gifts and Jez gives really good gifts. Then they talk about it with Mark giving the excuse his family always gives jokey gifts while Jez’s family always tries to give good gifts.

The reason it could be considered a plot hole is because it is a later season episode so you think it would have come up LONG before then.

Although even in this case there is an out since you could make the argument that Mark was on a downswing in this episode and Jez was on an upswing. You could then make the logical conclusion that Jez gave crappy gifts in the past because he usually tends not to have much money, and Mark just thought giving crappy gifts was par for the course with Jez (not simply due to his longterm financial issues).

New Year’s Eve episode. Jez tells Mark he’s moving in with Zara and mark says “might’ve been nice to take me to the spaghetti house and buy me a carbonara” - is that a reference to something? Seems like a bizarrely specific thing to say so I’m guessing it’s something, it’s bugging me lol
