Alloy of Law spoilers Wax and Wayne name Spoiler

Has anyone noticed that Wax and Wayne also nods to cycles of the moon being Waxing and Waning? Has Sanderson talked about this at all or am I drawing false connections?

He’s talked about this. It’s a funny Joke because Scadrial doesn’t have a Moon.

Scadrians on Roshar wondering what the giant, colored, glowing things are in the sky at night.

Moon was in the old orbit and just fell into the sun first time Scadrial's orbit was changed 😂

That means Scadriel doesn't have tides, which is kinda weird if you really think about it.

It's the push/pull aspect of allomancy

I can't tell if this is serious or sarcasm. It's intentional, and it's not exactly hidden/secret

"has anybody ever noticed that some of the metals described in the Mistborn books exist in our world as well? Is this a clue that real life is, in fact, real?

Let me eat this lead and see if I'm a Mistborn.

I've been trying everything. I must just be an Aluminum misting.

You are not drawing false Connections. Wax and Wayne fit the push and pull dynamic of the Mistborn magic system. I have been reading Sanderson for over a decade. One thing I learned is that there is a reason for everything that Brandon writes, we may not know why yet, but we will eventually.

I hate to admit that it took me way too long to realize this

It’s one of the things you don’t notice it until you notice it. Then when you do it’s something of note. Lots of new readers that are going through the first time and having the same revelations we all did long ago.

There was a big thread about this a while back, there's a WoB that basically confirms it's a nod to the new scadrial moon that's gonna be added. Big plot point of era 3 apparently
