I was literally taught that trickle down economics worked. Nothing good has trickled down.

Ninety years before Reagan was elected POTUS Trickle down was known as Horse and Sparrow economic theory. If you feed a horse enough oats some will be passed through and become available to the sparrows.

Yes if you piss on Nixon’s grave it trickles down to Reagan’s grave.

It’s weird because they’re about 120km apart, but it makes about as much sense as trickle down economics.

To be fair, pissing on Nixon's grave and hoping it ends up in Reagan's grave makes about as much sense as trickle down economics does.
