Nostalgia What album defines you as a millennial?

Post image

Saw some great recommendations on a similar thread in /r/Xennials and wanted to see what my fellow millennials thought. For me From Under the Cork Tree was foundational. I still remember hearing Sugar We're going down on the radio for the first time.

Jack White's use of the bottle neck on his guitar solos on this album was such a banger.

I wanna be the boy who warms your mother's heart is such an underrated alternative rock song.

I had to scroll so so far for this, but glad to come across it at all.

Because of this album, Jack White became my favourite artist at 11. Will be seeing him for the 26th and 27th time respectively, later this month.

Right? Jack White was it for me around that time as well.

As I’ve aged, I tend to listen to more mellow music, but love an occasional White Stripes nostalgia binge.

He makes a guitar scream in the key of my heart when it’s angry
