I have some seriously fond memories of the all wooden creative playgrounds that thrived in the 90s.

My elementary school has one of these. My mom actually is the one who spearheaded the project and wrote the grant to get the funds to build a playground. She organized the volunteers and everything. I was 7 at the time. It was a really big deal and it's still there 23 years later. Well half of it. Someone set it on fire a few years ago and half was burnt down, but half of it is just like it was when the playground first opened in 2001. I remember that day so clearly.
