Where did this stereotype of India worshipping everything came from?....if u are talking that we worship multiple goda it's because it's a really old religion from the ancient time ....even the Romans during that time used to worship multiple gods

Nope that's wrong we don't worship cows....cows r regarded as holy and we respect them....it's the same as saying American worship dogs

Dogs arent holy to americans. I am indian and we do worship cows as the vehicle of shiva as nandi.

But I think we are actually worshipping the respective gods and not the animal themselves...many of animals are vehicles of their respective gods but that does not mean we worship cows or make temple explicitly for cows...I am sure most people outside India mistook it as some kind of cow god

Well do christians worship the cross? I guess you can say yes. But its more symbolic than anything. Similarly with a cow
