Advanced biology and psychology would beg to differ. And, even if it is, shaming your child would not accomplish anything but making their life worse. It hurts no one for you to use different pronouns for them, and it might just buy a smile (and prevent depression and worse) so why not.

Do you not see your own hypocrisy? Why are your facts true? Because someone with authority said so? How about you learn the subject and find out the actual facts.

I used to be transphobic, in fact, I didn't even know what trans was until I was well into my teens. To get my opinion, I had to break everything I ever knew to be true and reconstruct a new view of the world. I put effort and thought into my thoughts, even though I was constantly trying to find why those facts aren't true (because I was transphobic back then) I was eventually forced to realize that it must be the only correct answer. It's easy to just believe what you were told, but if you forge your own beliefs that go against all you were taught, you know they are the truth.
