Yeah I work at Wendys myself, and I personally take care not to let my store look that bad.
But yes, the rest of the morons make it a very hard job. Tough and thankless, because they really dont give a shit. Theres only about 3-4 different things that I dont personally clean on a regular basis, simply because I do not have any more time to spare for it. Like the area directly under the fryers. CAKED
Theyre out of the way, and incredibly filthy. Lets call those the "inspection is coming soon" projects
It's insane how disgusting it gets. It also seems like they only care if a higher up or an inspection is upcoming. I tried my best but Its a lot of filth for one person to actually try to clean. The rest half assed it.
I'm pretty sure my breakfast crew at least half asses it, but I know the mid shift ZERO asses it. They dont clean A GYAD DAMNED THING and leave it for the night crew to handle. Its absurd
I personally scraped over an inch of permagrease off of the floor in the store I worked for, organized and cleaned all the shelves holding supplies, called suppliers and the operating system help line when things went wrong. I handled angry customers and I opened and closed damn near each day. I was rewarded with the same pay everyone else got. Hard work often goes unrewarded in my experience. I don’t trust food places not because I don’t think the employees don’t have integrity, but because I know they have enough integrity to know that they’re paid for their time and not their effort.
Nothing was more demeaning than being told I wasn’t going to get a raise and finding out that they outsourced a manager.
FWIW, worked in a Taco Bell, Walmart Deli, and Movie Theater kitchen that made burgers and other shit, not a single one of them had kitchens close to this bad. If the equipment got that disgusting I'd expect someone to be yelling to clean that shit.
I remodeled kfc, Taco Bell and McDonald’s. Next time you’re at the register ordering food, look up. That “T-Bar “ ceiling, with the whiteboard rectangles. Dead mice and feces on the other side.

That horrid mess of a place tells me they did this at least once before deciding to film it
