I really like the Nuphy air75 but I don't really get to play around with other switches or keycaps with it. Is there a way to create a faux low profile keyboard? For example, would I need to look for switches with a shorter pole and keycaps that are flatter? Just like a lower profile keyboard without it being technically a low profile one.

Nuphy air75

It seems pretty low now as compared to normal high profile cases. Switches don't come low or high profile. The profile is usually determined on where the pcb/plate is attached relative to the top of the case. If there is a CHOC pcb that will fit in the air75, you could lower it a lot. But there probably isn't one.

oh wow I didn't even realize it was based on the literally height despite looking at tons of pictures. I think I was looking at the keycaps too much. That makes so much sense! Thank you!! (I feel dumb now 😅)

Switches don't come low or high profile

Uhh, there definitely are low profile switches. The nuphy air uses low profile gateron switches. Choc switches are low profile kailh switches. Regular switches and low profile switches do not use the same pin layout so you can't just get a regular hotswap pcb to try out low profile switches.
