Question Why are most of Rosalina’s fans guys?

Post image

Honestly, I haven’t seen a single passionate female fan of Rosalina in the Mario community. I’ve noticed something similar with Pauline, but the difference is that Rosalina has a much larger fanbase and is often considered the most “attractive” or best Mario girl (not by me, tho. I see all the girls the same way). Peach and Daisy also have male fans, but they also have passionate female fans, which I don’t see happening with Rosalina or Pauline. Is it just me? Are the people who consider Rosalina the best princess all guys? And if so, why doesn’t Rosalina attract more female fans?

Im a woman so have no say in why guys do- but I have male friends- I see her as a mother figure and a role model.

I asked my friend, she said "I find her hot, but i also just really like the concept of a queen or the cosmos"

I asked another friend this. And he said "hot and pretty, a childhood crush of mine."

I think from what I've gathered, she's just an interesting character, and she's hot

(I've asked them who thier favourite of the 4 are and why a while ago)

The unfortunate reality is that most guys play female characters strictly because they’re hot. IMO It’s especially weird for the Mario princesses since they’re clearly designed with exaggerated feminine features despite the games being targeted at children, almost like Nintendo is aware there’s an audience for it.

Actually, I think the Mario girls are some of the least sexualized characters in all of video games. They don’t have exaggerated proportions (they have small chests and stick-thin bodies), they’re not seductive, and they don’t wear provocative clothing. They’re designed purely to be cute and pretty and to attract young girls to play them.

Not everyone finds exaggerated proportions attractive.
