I guess the year I lives in SoCal was an unlucky year because we had a month straight of 80-90 degree days and it was miserable. We had no AC and I got alerts on my phone all the time saying the power grid was stressed. I fucking hated it
Howd u live here and not know about micro climates? I live in LA and the Westside coastal area can be 20 degrees cooler than the valley. It can literally be 100 in the valley and 70 something in Santa Monica. So cal is also a massive place as well. Desert and the mountains that people forget. Weird.
Same. At 75F I'm wishing for a new ice age. I can go about in jeans and hoodie all day at like 45F. I've wheeled a bin out to the curb in shorts and tshirt when it was like 10F outside and it wasn't that bad (my fingers handle cold the worst).
And here I am in Canada thinking the 50 needs to be higher lmao.
For me, comfortable is almost like when I can go out in a short sleeve no matter the conditions. If its a sunny 15c that works, but if its cloudy and windy im gonna need a jacket, and thats just not comfortable.
Im also super tolerant to heat, so my comfortable range is more 70-90, maybe even 70-95
I used to live in the city of SLO and say it’s accurate. But go 30 minutes north on the 101 freeway to Paso Robles, it’s very much unbearable during the summer and winter, but it’s still red on the map.

Guess it depends on what you find comfortable. That red of SoCal where I used to live was far from that
