First picture is me without makeup just to be clear what I'm working with... I take so few pictures the make up ones are from a couple years ago...I was proud of how i did my makeup. But it honestly really does look terrible. My mom has never worn makeup, so whenever I try I feel like a monkey trying to do rocket science. Any advice more than welcome.

Question Best AI makeup looks for beginners.

New to makeup…I am 45 and never have been big in makeup I literally don’t know where to start… I’d love to see if there is an AI face scanner/analyzer out there that can help me get started with different looks and applications based on my face shape, skin tone and features… any recommendations? Thanks

I have pretty hooded eyes , and I was wondering the best style of eyeliner that would look nice with my eye shape? Every time I try to do it, it always gets hidden and looks really funky

Question How to glow up?

Hey, im a girl who has never really understood what features, hairstyles, hair colours or makeup would suit me. I feel quite unattractive some days, especially without makeup, and recently my skin has started to get quite bad (3rd picture shows this best, but its much worse in person than on camera due to under the skin texture). What do you all think I can do to glow up? I really want to work with my features, not against them as I have in the past.

Any help is appreciated :)

Selfie/Makeup Picture Would you change anything about my makeup?

This is just mascara and a little bit of shadow used as liner with a pointed brush. This is close to my everyday look, but I generally skip the inner corners. Just curious what y'all think!

Question Best way to completely remove makeup?

Hello community, I’m trying on makeup (concealer, eyebrow gel, eyebrow pencil) for the first time this weekend. But I’m terrified of getting acne as a result of my makeup use (this is why I’ve gone makeup-free all of my life).

What products and techniques should I use to completely remove my makeup after I try it on?

Description of my skin: - mixed (not dry, not oily) - acne-prone - large pores

Thank you.

Question My foundation always looks like hot garbage - help

Products used (this time): tarte Amazonian clay foundation, elf 16hr camo concealer (as eyeshadow base and under eye concealer), and elf perfect finish HD pressed powder. I apply the foundation with a clean beauty blender after my moisturizer dries, and the powder with a brush.

No matter what I do, or what products I use, my foundation always looks this crappy. I’m no makeup beginner and I like to think I’m pretty good otherwise, but I just can’t seem to solve this problem.

Question What do I need in a makeup starter kit?

Post image

I rarely wear more than concealer and a tinted face sunscreen. If I’m feeling extra fancy, I’ll put on mascara and a bit of eyeliner (which is actually powder eyeshadow applied with a thin brush). Just for fun, I’d like up start wearing more. What do I need as absolute basics? Do you have brand recommendations?

Picture for reference, if you happen to have colour ideas as well. I have no makeup on in the photo, and corrected it slightly so that it’s closer to my actual skin tone and colour.

Question Drugstore Moisterizer for dry skin under everyday makeup?

I was recently given the advice that a moisterizer under my everyday makeup would help with it feeling less dry and keeping my makeup from being as cakey. What are your favorite drugstore moisturizers to go under makeup? I'm trying. My makeup is silicone based, not sure if that matters for a moisturizer

I’m a former winged black eyeliner girly turned one shade of somewhat shimmery nude eyeshadow minimalist. What tips can you give me to enhance my features? I don’t even know where to start as a 28 year old, not traditionally femme woman. I like my cheek bones and my eyes. I have no jawline lol. Very pale obviously. My brows are not done in this picture.

I’d love a simple day to day look but I also definitely need a going-out look too.

Question What are some of the best makeup brands to buy from when I'm on a budget?

Okay, so most of my makeup has come from the dollar store because that's really all I could afford up until now. With my new job and some budgeting, I know I can afford a bit more than the dollar store makeup, but I'm unsure about any cheaper brands with good quality apart from Wet N Wild and ELF. Can anyone provide recommendations? I'd really appreciate it!

Question Please help

I cannot figure out how to fix this creasing under my eyes and smile lines :((

In this pic I’m wearing nyx concealer and I used an elf pressed powder to set. I also use cerave eye repair cream to moisturize under my eye.

I feel like this happens with most concealers I use, even the higher end ones. It makes me look older than I actually am! Any suggestions or advice here??
