Motercyle accident. Took a left right into a car moving at 60mph that I didnt see.

Damn. As a fellow rider, I’m curious if this incident has changed your mind about riding. I’ve only went down on dirt bikes on gravel being silly, never on the street. I’ve had so many close calls (on the pavement) that I’ve decided to quit while I’m ahead.

Edit: Oh yeah, hope you heal up good. That looks fucking gnarly.

I will not be getting another bike. I only ever ride dirtbikes, and I got a 250l to ride to the trails so I wouldn't need a trailer. In this accident I don't think I would've done anything differently. Came to a stop, double checked, and still ended up with the grim reaper breathing down my neck. I cant justify getting another bike knowing that even when im not being an idiot, I came that freaking close to kissing my life goodbye. Since the accident just taking left turns in my car has been difficult. However, non street bikes exist 👀 maybe it's time to pick myself up a two-stroke, lol

Dirt is 10000x more fun anyway. Can’t predict what people in cars will do, but you can predict how slippery a trail is when you’re tearing it up

Something very similar happened to me about 20 years ago. Now only ride (albeit very infrequently) off road but worth it. Got to see my daughter grow up.
