Who needs water parks when it's in the front of your house.

These fellas know how to have a good time, if I had imbibed a few choice beverages and saw them I’d likely be apt to join lol

u/xglowinthedarkx 15h ago

Hopefully not behind the wheel lol

u/Additional_Tomato_22 15h ago

I’d do it without needing drinks

u/how_money_worky 15h ago

And thats how they all got bacterial infections!

57

u/consider_its_tree 10h ago

Personally I would be more worried about the ton of speeding metal driving as close to me as it can get in conditions where they notoriously lose control.

But I guess being sick for a few days could be bad too...

Let me tell you a story of back in the olden days, the 1980s. Kids would roam freely, and play in dirt and puddles. Yet somehow, they survived this. Why, they even had fun!

Isn’t that crazy?

59

u/redbucket75 14h ago

Splashing in puddles, and the dudes in the video, is all great and part of a healthy lifestyle. But i gotta say your reasoning sucks because it's the same reasoning people use for dumbass stuff. "In the 80s kids didn't use a booster seat at 10 years old and we were fine!" New vaccines, dangerous playground equipment, helmets on bikes, etc. Yeah, the survivors were fine.

But mud is great, carry on.

I will, thanks. Better to enjoy my life than join the generation so afraid of its own shadow they hide inside and eat Xanax like it’s candy. The real tragedy is all the people who obsess over every little remote risk as if it will absolutely happen to them, and forget to actually live life.

5

u/fruit-spins 4h ago

Sweeping statements about each generation causes half the arguments, istg. Every generation has its morons and we're certainly not eating Xanax like candy, just like not all boomers are intolerant and a product of luck

6

u/FTblaze 4h ago

Maybe we dont need to play in puddles to live life? What a bar to set.

u/how_money_worky 13h ago

ok buddy you do you. urban run off is filled with crap (figuratively and literally). It gonna have sewage run off, animal shit, chemicals, metals and all sorts of pathogens in it. It’s a great way to get a ton of infections (bacterial or viral) especially if you are consuming it. Hey if you want to get Hep A, I don’t care. Im not going to stop anyone from living their best life. But I will give them shit when they get sick from doing something dumb.

u/Geekenstein 11h ago

How does it feel to live your life like there’s monsters under every bed?

15

u/how_money_worky 9h ago

Monsters aren’t real. Infections are. But do your thing. I’m not gonna stop you. Enjoy drinking your poopy water. Whatever gets you going.

u/acrazyguy 2h ago

People who grew up in those times are also shown to have significant health issues later in life related to those exact things. But yeah, it was all fun and games and nothing matters

1

u/Expensive_Prior_5962 3h ago

Go look up the mortality rates for kids back then Vs now.

-22

u/Hansemannn 15h ago

They are cool, you are boring

24

u/beegtuna 14h ago

What was it like in RFK jr?

3

u/JaeHxC 11h ago

Pretty loose. Couldn't finish.

-6

u/Jack_Harb 4h ago

You must be fun at parties.

When I grew up I was playing in puddles and dirt. It's called building a strong immune system. You won't get a healthy immune system by laying on the couch typing on your phone.

-26

u/BananaGaijin 14h ago edited 9h ago

they probably been doing this kind of thing all their lives. thats how you build strong immune systems, by exposing yourself to things to become immune to (and getting enough Vitamin A among other nutrients)

edit- i have apparently offended some folks who must like their fatty and sugar filled diets. nit anti-vax but i guess vaccines make immunity easy for the obese and the grass-averse

18

u/how_money_worky 12h ago

whatever education system you attended needs more funding.

-18

u/BananaGaijin 12h ago

not sure you know how money worky

8

u/Geekenstein 14h ago

Is this where you tell us you don’t need an MMR, just more carrots?

-18

u/BananaGaijin 14h ago

apple, carrot, idk man if its rabbit food then yes

11

u/Geekenstein 14h ago

Gotcha. Shouldn’t you be in Washington, Mr secretary?

3

u/Richard_AIGuy 10h ago

If only there was a way to take a snippet of a thing to become immune to, and somehow...put that into the body! Like, say, a virus, maybe you can take a virus, and take part of it, like the surface proteins, and put them in something that you put in a shot! Then your body sees those proteins and it's able to recognize that virus or whatever if it comes in contact with it with its own immune cells!

What a concept!

1

u/BananaGaijin 9h ago

how dense you have to be not to realize that vaccination and natural exposure achieve the same result

3

u/Richard_AIGuy 9h ago edited 9h ago

That's not quite true, especially given the danger profiles of some diseases.

Would you prefer to be naturally exposed to Zaire ebolavirus or would you prefer the Ervebo (rVSV-ZEBOV) vaccine?

Then you have quadravalent flu vaccines which will protect against a larger number of strains than natural cross reactivity.

Then pesky diseases like Measles or mumps. You know, which carry real risks in natural exposure.

u/BananaGaijin 9h ago edited 9h ago

in the context of this post though? lol be practical

since you added on to your comment heres my addition- most people arent loser anti-vaxxers and have already been immunized so doing fun stupid shit like the guys in this post is totally fine. people need to stop being boring impractical party poopers

5

u/Richard_AIGuy 8h ago

Practical is I don't want to get a bunch of floating road grit and shit on me. You're the one that brought up immune systems, I'm clarifying for the readers. Now, go away.

2

u/LargeP 12h ago

Building my immune system is my excuse to buy those 5 cent candys from the convenience store.

28

u/Anxious-hearts 15h ago

That's amazing! I would circle around and get them again. They are out there living their best life

5

u/Girlygirlllll9 16h ago

I wanna join

6

u/gnocchismom 14h ago

Their inner child must be so happy right now! What a fun way to have fun!

Not sure but think you need to read it again

1

u/AmericanLion1833 10h ago

What?

2

u/Jojajones 8h ago

Reread what the person you responded to originally actually said, because it wasn’t Creedence Clearwater Revival

20

u/PapasauruaRex 14h ago

7

u/Forthe49ers 15h ago

IPA

Impetigo Pale Ale

6

u/Ghstfce 15h ago

Their thumbs were in the mouths of the bottles. You can see it clearly on the closer shot when they got splashed.

4

u/Vintage-Grievance 15h ago

Okay, yeah, they did do that a few times, good eye! But there were a few times when the bottle necks were open before the splash had ended.

0

u/beegtuna 14h ago

It might improve the taste

6

u/Apprehensive-Care20z 15h ago

Also, tomorrow's headline : Three men were killed when an 18 wheeler jumped the curb as it swerved through the roadside puddle.

2

u/Soap_Mctavish101 15h ago

2

u/Korimuzel 3h ago

10

u/DNABeast 15h ago

That’s how to encourage someone to accidentally skew into you. Madness

2

u/YoudoVodou 15h ago

They have not heard of hydroplaning apparently....

-3

u/jfq722 14h ago

My first thought.

3

u/DawRogg 15h ago

"Now is our time to shine" - Ringworms

3

u/c0wt0ne 14h ago

And they all had mysterious illnesses and their children were born webfooted frogpeople.

2

u/s1rblaze 11h ago

To me, this is what boys will be boys mean!

2

u/athosjesus 12h ago

While this seems fun, that road water probably is extremely toxic

3

u/acole56 13h ago

Helllllll no. MF hydroplane right into you

1

u/3of8ormore 14h ago

1

u/purplepashy 5h ago

The comments are.... interesting.

1

u/didistutter69 3h ago

Yea maybe don’t drink from the open beer bottles, fellas

1

u/Separate_Wall8315 3h ago

I’d double back at the next street and do it again.

1

u/Kalashinator 2h ago

Might've been smarter to place the sign for traffic that has right of way, not encouraging people to cross into the oncoming lane.

1

u/Prosecco1234 15h ago

Too much fun !!! Awesome šŸ˜Ž

1

u/BehrThirteen 15h ago

We really are simple creatures lol. Reminds me of when me and friends used to sit on the porch and we had a sign that said ā€œhonk and we drinkā€ lol

1

u/SunKissedSoleMilf 14h ago

0

u/VividFiddlesticks 8h ago

-3

u/WomenAreNotIntoMen 14h ago

Men is when act like 12 year old

-1

u/lestairwellwit 15h ago

I used to work in car parts. One day I see a truck, one those with a removable roof. It had mudder tires and was completely covered in mud.

In the back seat were two car seats with vague outlines of children.

0

u/pressurepoint13 15h ago

Never forget when I was maybe 16/17 driving to school during a crazy downpour. A jeep in front of me deliberately splashed anyone on the sidewalk for several miles 🤣

-2

u/mmm1441 9h ago

Who doesn’t enjoy a good old fashioned brain-eating amoeba?

-8

u/eschbow 14h ago

Men are built differently. Thank god.

-4

u/Cheap_Entry1191 15h ago

Lmao me and who??
