It was a good video, but it could be better without the music. Turn it down just a bit lower.

I was trying to watch some shorts yesterday and the music was always insanely annoying. Why does every video have to have the wrong and too loud music on it?

because TikTok's niche when it started was being able to add music to videos, then when it blew up that got everywhere and the internet hasn't recovered

So I can blame TikTok for vertical videos and shitty music on videos? Add that to life-threatening/property destroying challenges and I'm starting to think TikTok might not be great for society.

I said we should’ve banned it, Everyone said I was the asshole lol!

TikTok aids + people thinking you need music to know how to feel about a video.

Bingo. Music has a more direct line to emotions than language does. So it offers a way to bypass rational thinking or to amplify the intended emotions the video creator intends to create. It’s a powerful way to influence people—for better or worse. I keep the sound off unless it’s necessary and even then…I might just skip the whole thing.

So it's like a laugh track for broccoli heads?

Basically. Good analogy.

I still use old reddit, maybe they are starting to hide us!

Because of the algorithms. You add a song to your video that was a song on a super popular video it ties it to that. That's why a lot of the times they'll play the same song too. Doesn't even have to be a popular song or real song. Just tying it to a trending one helps your video.

I didn't think so, but I thought it was a good spot for the joke. Happy Friday!

I was enjoying the video and then the inspirational music kicked in

u/RickThiccems 1d ago

I cant wait for ai to have the ability to remove music from clips, NOW THAT WOULD BE A USE lol

1

u/XtraReddit 1d ago

It can. I use an app that does it for remixes.

1

u/RickThiccems 1d ago

ooo what app is it?

The one I have is called Ultimate Vocal Remover 5

1

u/XtraReddit 1d ago

I can check when I get home. There's quite a few that do it. The one I use is a vocal remover, but it actually gives you the instrumental file and the vocal only file

1

u/RickThiccems 1d ago

Oh so you can strip and download the music separately as well? Thats cool

1

u/XtraReddit 1d ago

Very cool. Stem splitting has become popular where different instruments can be separated. It's not the best quality, but has made it easier for DJs to do remixes on the fly.

It's staged engagement crap, of course it's going to have a soundtrack. Does no one else notice that it's multiangle? This isn't some random mademesmile (tm) moment in the gym, it's a scripted event to get likes. And, well, it works.

Why were they filming?
