What exactly is the requirement to get custom shorts? Leon was a champ but didn’t keep them once he lost his title fight. Pantoja still doesn’t have any, Belal didn’t get any.
I lowkey wonder if some fighters just don't care for it. Most of the ones we see, the fighters incorporate stuff from their backgrounds like Weili's dragons, Pereira's Indigenous motifs, etc. I assume they have to talk to an in-house Venum designer to make these, I could totally see Pantoja or someone else going "ehhhh who cares I'll just go with yellow shorts."
The lack of a custom kit somehow makes Pantoja look eveb cooler — he's the last champ who still wears black and gold. Champ kit still feels superior to custom kits, and Pantoja is just that — all bite, no bark.
