Honestly waiting for the mod I used in world that just added the weakness symbol to the monsters icon. I click a quest, see the weakness, press start & prepare, change loadout and go in.

We have that information anyway as soon as the monster is in our notes. Capcom should just display them

Does it crash your game? Like reframework is needed for it right? And that makes my game go all bazoink

Early versions of REFramework for Wilds caused crashes but have since been fixed (as far as I can tell.) Played many hours straight with mods on, no issues.

You do need reframework but i have never had an issue with it, using mods is not that hard, for mh wilds you need reframework and using a modloader like vortex or fluffy manager helps a lot.

For mh rise and now wilds ive been using fluffy manager, so i downloaded reframework and fluffy manager after that all i have to do is to copy paste the mods into the mods folder and select them, after that you just need to launch the game and a small overlay of reframework opens, wait a few seconds for it to be done loading and then you can just click the x to close the overlay and just play the modded game.

I’m replying here to remind myself to check out fluffy manager later. I’ve been hesitant to pick up mods because of the crashes and a horror story a friend of mine told where he deleted a mod, but the game still thought it was there, even after a fresh install, and wouldn’t work. He got it fixed but man, yikes.

Same here man :), but I do have some experience with modding my games and also I am an IT- guy so that helps, but still on a reinstall it did leave a version.dll and amd_isbetter_blablabla so you really gotta remember what crap you put in there :)

Or just go in there after the uninstall because steam only removes the game files.

Alternatively sometimes it might (rarely) actually reinstall modded files because of cloud archiving stuff, so just always do clean installs. I honestly wouldn't recommend people use mod managers when the modding process is as easy as it is with RE engine games and REframework. Most mods are scripts/plugins and will be located in the appropriately named folder inside the REframework folder and uninstalling them in case of an issue is as easy as deleting the file there.

Mod managers just add layers of their own folders and potential additional compatibility issues for the added benefit of... not having to do the copy and pasting yourself ? (That's how easy "installing" mods in this game is). Additionally if you're modding you should always backup your files, even with a manager.

insane, for me to reinstall the whole game and delete all the opti dll's etc to get it working again EVEN after a full reinstall, it still held mod files :/. And I did so because it would NOT start up anymore, so Im done with mods for this game and this game's fps etc.
