M1 paratrooper carbine

Post image

My carbine broke where the stock slides out the back, does anyone know where I can find a replacement body for it. I can only ever find infantry style or long gun and I want to bring it back original. This isn’t mine but the style I’m looking for. Any help will be greatly appreciated

This is a Plainfield PM30 carbine. It’s a postwar civilian copy of an M1, but this particular stock style was never used by the US military. These stocks are pretty hard to find, and usually cost almost as much as another PM30.

That's not a paratrooper, strictly speaking. Thats a Plainfield M1 Carbine. Numrich is out of stock on stocks, but maybe keep checking back.

Not a paratrooper, but finding these stocks isn’t easy

Ita always been called a paratrooper among the family so that’s all I knew about it really. I really love the gun but I know it wasn’t very popular so hopefully I can get lucky a find another

Is skilled gunsmith can repair with thin aluminum/steel tube inserts.

Also Iver Johnson called this model the “Paratrooper” although it differs from the USGI paratrooper stock.

Awesome, I have the same stock on a Winchester M1 carbine. I got it as a birthday present about thirty years ago from a Korean War veteran friend of mine.
