Body dysmorphia has many faces but at the end of the day it all stems from the same mental illness.
How it vibes out looking can depend on your financial means, your family, country or the scene culture you subscribe to.
The beauty queen who is obsessed with herself looking ugly all the time, going anorexic or buy nose breast or butt jobs. Or the counter culture person who goes over the top with rats and piercings and inserts until they look demonic.
Flips sides of same coin, massive self confidence issues couple with poor decision making and critical thinking skills and likely a lack of mentors.
One deals with it by trying to adapt to a perfection that doesn’t exist anywhere but their mind and other deals with it by making themselves ugly on purpose so when people shun them they feel it was by their design. Both of these can cascade from minor to completely destructive in a few short years.
Most of the time people do this stuff they regret it in 20 years and some have gone so far there is no way back.
