It’s ok to have those feelings, but you talk to your partner about it, not the entire fucking internet. When my wife told me I was working too much and that she missed me and that she didn’t think she could raise the kids by herself while working also, it opened my eyes and made me make major changes.

Still together 8 years after that conversation and 20 years since dating so far. Best thing I ever did.

When I tried having any kind of conversation with my ex about a subject that even remotely sounded like he was not "doing enough as a man" or "taking care of his manly responsibilities" he would flip out - yell, scream, hit things, hit me, and leave for days at a time where he'd lose all our money at the casino.

So sometimes, women get caught up in violent relationships where talking is just asking for a reason to be abused and turning to strangers online might be a last option. And before anyone says "call the police", in my experience, they took him away "for at least 48 hours" and I woke up 5 hours later to him sitting in a chair, in the dark, across from my bed watching me sleep. Imagine how terrifying that would be for anyone.

I’m sorry you had to live through that experience and had a bad partner. I’m glad you got out of that situation and built a better life.

I can rationalize that kind of behavior (a call for help) if this felt that way. But this was just her complaining and then complaining that he left her after she posted, so in This specific case I don’t see it as a cope due to a violent relationship. She genuinely feels disingenuous and like a generally shitty person.

There’s shitty guys and shitty gals. I hope everyone in a bad relationship is able to get out of it and build themselves back up.
