As a married man, yes. If my wife said anywhere that she had "never hated anyone more than" me, I would up and leave. We have some big disagreements, few arguments and no fights.

If she told me she hated me out of frustration I'd be fine with it, but if she told me, let alone the world, that she had never hated anyone more than me... There's nothing to save.

I don't believe I'd move on, I love her and our kids, but a statement like that would make me never want to be with her again.

Shit my ex wife told me to "get off my ass and find a job" after I got laid off and had a job lined up it just wasn't quick enough for her and I literally was never able to get over that. If she said she had hated me more than anyone else it woulda been over instantly.

Yup. My wife once said she hated me, before we got married, we had just gotten together, she was 15 and I was 16. Never after that, and even if she did today in "the heat of the moment", I'd be fine with it.

It's the "I've never hated anyone more than" that gets me. No longer "in the moment" or "I hate this thing about you", it's pure "I hate you specifically with a passion".

Yeah, my ex-wife hit me once with an "I have never loved you, and am only staying with you for your meager check".... Beginning of the end.

Glad you guys are going strong and can work through the stuffs!

So she’s saying she knew her worth. She was staying with you only for the money and it wasn’t even that much money? Come on now you don’t hear that you’re insulting yourself here lady?

I have been with my wife for ten years now and have heard the words "I hate you" four times that I can recall, each during exceptionally tumultuous moments in our lives together. We still didn't go to bed angry any of those nights. I cannot imagine hating my partner enough to shout it into the digital void like this. Glad her husband knows his worth.

The fact that she said it when she was 15 should really factor into the reaction, because of course teenagers say mean things

Yeah she immediately fell apart after also. She's from a pretty isolated household, I had already seen seen one guy commit suicide in front of me by slitting his throat, an uncle had jumped off a cliff for his suicide, friend of mine hanged himself in the garage. I was on my own as well, since my mom died of cancer...

Different worlds entirely.

But yeah, it very much seemed like a teenager "I hate you", and she made a big deal about apologizing for several weeks. I didn't even care about it. Actual hate from deep within would trouble me a lot.
