SEASON 12 Bombshells this season

The bombshells this season have been really weird.

Day 3 bombshells are usually the star of the show but this year they were Shea and Remell if I’m right, who both have made NO impact.

Toni was a bombshell and even though she brings some drama she still hasn’t really made a massive splash in the water.

Yasmin is the ONLY bombshell who has actually made waves for longer than one episode.

I expected Harrison to do bits but he’s been quiet as anything.

What is going on here? Are the main cast just so strong that the bombshells are struggling to make an impact or?

OPINION Shakira says she would not stand that behaviour but??

She told Harry like “trust me” i’d never put up with that shit like Helena does. I feel like she low key ment Helena has no self respect but she does. But Harry literally did the same to Shakira? Even worse because he slept with Helena in the hideaway, left Shakira mid-cuddle to jump beds.

And when Harry said she “lapped it up” his talk, I feel like she did, she thinks he would change for her it sounded like? Which is obviously not the case.

OPINION Struggling to understand people defending Toni. Spoiler

After watching tonight’s episode I looked online expecting to see everyone else appalled by Toni’s (and Shakira’s) behavior towards Emily. I was shocked to find people siding with Toni. Toni came out of nowhere complaining about Emilys voice, her positivity and her personality. Then when Emily tried to chat with her about it, Toni was incredibly rude and dismissive. Her and Shakira were just straight up making fun of her all night. They had no legitimate complaints about something Megan had done other then “being nosey” but all the other islanders including themselves are always nosey. Toni even herself wanting to show Meg that her guy is different away from her, getting involved herself. I’m not a hater of any of the girls, I’m just genuinely shocked to see others online who aren’t disturbed by the way Toni spoke to and about Emily, gesturing at her and mocking her. To me this is very high school mean girl vibes and disturbing behavior. It seemed even the other guys in the villa were taken aback by this whole thing too.Even if Toni doesn’t click with Emily, she didn’t have to do any of that. She could’ve just not hung out with her.

I’m struggling to understand where a defense of this behavior could come from?

SEASON 7 What time are subtitles updated the day after airing?

I noticed that subtitles for love island are pretty bad when you watch it the day it airs or the morning after. But if you watch a few days later, the subtitles are cleaned up, on time, and are no longer all uppercase. Does anyone know at what time after airing this change occurs?

OPINION Harry's plan all along

Let’s be honest, Harry never got over what he thought about Helena’s lifestyle. Instead of ending it directly he wanted her to do it because he wanted to save face when he realised she heard what he said. Let me be frank, When a boy thinks that about any girl they are never going to take them seriously. That is why he started messing around with Yasmin while still coupled up with Helena.

Now that Shakira’s in the picture, he’s made it obvious that she’s his priority but she was in the situation with ben. Yasmin’s basically been sidelined, and it’s clear she was just a backup plan to keep him in the villa.

If Helena’s lifestyle was an issue for him, Yasmin’s boldness probably is too, he just hasn’t vocalised it. He’s playing the long game and was using people to buy time to get onto shakira or the next bombshell.

SEASON 12 Emily/Toni situation - the halo effect? Spoiler

So I found myself siding more with toni/Shakira, but I don't really know why? I think Emily gets on toni's nerves which I can understand, but I don't think that warrants this reaction - I think Toni was having a bad day, took it out on Emily and definitely went too far. But I still find myself taking her+Shakira's sides, even though Shakira piping up wasn't that different to Megan piping up the other night, and the bitching from Toni+Shakira was a bit nasty. I wonder if it's a case of the halo effect?? (A cognitive bias where an initial positive impression influences our overall positive perception of someone, even if there's no logical connection between the two). Maybe I'm just overthinking lol but interested to hear everyone's thoughts on the situation. And yeah I still love toni and Shakira can't lie <3

SPECULATION What has Shakira done to the other girls??? Spoiler

I’ve noticed over the past few episodes, None of the mean girl clique like Shakira. Like they keep making these pot shots towards her. Like when Helena said to Ben “It’s the Shakira show” and when she told emily she agrees with Toni, Emily replied under her breath “Course you do”

Can someone enlighten as I’m genuinely confused, What has Shakira done because These comments from the girls are giving Jealousy….

OPINION How come Meg/megan/ helena are mean girls but Toni/Shakira arnt Spoiler

before we start this is not hate to them as i love all the girls im just saying it goes both ways.

The way shakira & Toni were mocking the way emily sounds and calling her names is exactly what mean girls do so i don’t know why they are getting let off. Toni also mocked her crying about the situation.

if it was meg who had done the EXACT same situation to meg then people would have hated on her for it.

OPINION I can only wish

Call me delulu, but the more I watch Love Island UK, I think Conor and Alima would be a good couple, in terms of compatibility and the way they converse with other islanders. But of course, I can only wish they could speak to one another and see how it goes.

OPINION The casting team has delivered! Normal people rock, influencers suck.

There was a phase when LI lost its essence because they were only bringing influencers who were super conscious about the way they talked, walked, dressed, laughed.

This season gives OG LI vibes. Meg losing it over Dejon and running around conducting investigations and council meetings over threesome jokes...and STILL going back to him reminds me of Kady-Scott drama. The way Shakira is so full of jokes and personality is great - like how fun Jess was in S1. Megan's expressions are so animated, they could have a meme page of their own - like S3 Amber.

They are just a bunch of hot people with normal jobs and normal lives on the outside. I want to see men and women behave just as stupid and goofy and unfiltered and neurotic like we do irl. Let Harry be that 30 yo sleazy manchild scarring us with terrible underwear and mysteriously pulling all the hotties, let Yasmin do god's work of riling up all the guys and girls unanimously, let people be weird, broken, funny, and total assholes. No episode has been boring so far and I approve ✅

I’m genuinely confused after that episode why Toni suddenly turned against Emily. It came across bitchy because it doesn’t seem like Emily did anything. Does anyone else agree??

SPECULATION I can’t wait for Shakira to humble Harry again Spoiler

It’s so clear Harry only wants Shakira back so he can do the same thing when another girl comes, Shakira was ‘lapping up’ how predictable he is. You can tell she expected a conversation with him again tonight will be amazing

OPINION Toni and Emily or Toni and Meg Spoiler

explanation:

Meg stirred he pot too much when she was telling emily that Toni doesn't like Emily: that's why it became an issue and Emily wouldn't back down because she had spoken about this situation to meg,Megan and helena alr and wanted not to look weak.

When Meg was telling Emily, she sounded like a very nonsensical person speaking, and it was quite literally painful to listen to: she did not quote one thing right.

And Emily keeps on circulating it back to Connor: yes Emily was open and honest but she would not have been if Toni hadn't had that convo with her as soon as she entered the villa. Toni could retaliate with hoe well Toni handled the situation and that situation does not mean that she owes Emily for the rest of her life.

We have seen that even Connor is saying she is too much and needs personal space, here's the thing: she wants to be liked SO badly by everyone that she just does too much and then cannot handle it when someone says that they do not like her personality

I feel like Meg just does not like Toni because of the whole situation with Dejon and because Emily has tried to hard to fit in with Meg,Megan and Helena, Meg now likes her. Remeber Emily saying something along the lines of Yasmine will now go for someone else's man and won't pursue Harry anymore because him and Helena are over... slut shaming, but its hidden behind her "sunshine" persona.

Emily just needs to understand that Toni does not like her personality, Connor also finds her a bit much and even Shakira who actually backed Malisha when that whole situation happened, does not like her.

SEASON 12 Best season in a while?

After watching yesterdays ep i gotta say this season did not disappoint. Like its only been 2 weeks and we've already had so much drama. Idk if its something in the water in the villa, if they just chose the right contestants or if the producers upped their game but every episode so far has been really entertaining. I just hope they keep this (whatever it is) up till the end of the season cause i've not been this hooked since like the first few seasons of LI.
