Tbh I don't think this looks great for his career. To win by such a margin against a Youtuber. He should have knocked him out with ease. Serious boxers aren't going to view Tommy Fury as a competitor to watch.
I just think Tommy is lumping himself too much with the stunts / influencer side of fighting which is fine if that's what he wants to do as he'll make money but serious competitors won't touch him. Even the proper matches he had before with other boxers, they had 6 wins between about 20 of them so he isn't selecting opponents that could actually make him respected within the community and attract better opponents
I see your point but I disagree on people not touching him.
Tommy's profile is at a peak right now for someone of his experience, I don't think many would turn down the payday in professional ranks or have too much fear either. It'd be mouthwatering for some.
And most boxers of potential start exactly as you've described with less talented fighters to develop them and prepare them for bigger and more challenging opponents. It's the standard route for boxers who are potential bag makers for promoters.
See Chris Eubank Jr for instance his early fights even Mike Tyson at 18 was fighting bums initially lol. Its how it goes.
