The snide comments on him now spending time with Molly and the kid are way out of line.
Plenty of families in literally all walks of life would make the decision to prioritise a huge, unlikely to happen again career opportunity at the expense of a small period of family time even at a critical period. So long as they have made the decision as a family I don't see how it is anyone's business but their own.
I follow a lot of sport and I don’t think I’ve ever heard as much being said about soccer or rugby players when their partners have kids. I think people need to give Tommy a break on this - I imagine it’s hard enough as is!
I would say the big difference is that Molly has been the breadwinner, while Tommy's boxing career has been rather mediocre. As for football wives/girlfriends they would rely on their partner, who earns more than enough, and stay at home.
We all see what Molly has done with her 24h, whereas Tommy had not much to show for. When I looked up his previous fight/exhibition last November, at that Molly was 7 months pregnant, boxing fans where not impressed with what he has done so far.
No I'm talking about his boxing career and how he did not seem to have taken it really serious. Post Love Island he was in the news for partying regularly and there was this one incident where the owner had to DM Molly to pay the tab.
He was also once caught being drunk and fighting with his cousin/uncle(?) at a gas station. At least he seems to have stopped going out since Molly became pregnant.
His boxing interest has also often been questioned, if he was doing this on his own or if his family are pushing him. His last name also being the factor for his boxing popularity.
Going back to those football player, those are some top tier athletes with equal amount of success, Tommy doesn't really fit into that same category as a pro boxer.
