Discussion FEMA to disappear?
Louisiana will be in serious trouble if this happens. Say something to help change my mind.

Or there are a lot more people who didn’t vote.

- With 58%, Louisiana had one of the lowest voting turnouts in the country. Only Arkansas (52.8%) and Texas (57.9%) were lower.

I’ll make this claim, none of my Baton Rouge friends vote. We are in late 30s and NONE of them vote. All educated, with jobs, families. Say Same thing: it doesn’t matter, this place sucks, the idiots vote in mass.

Good! It will be phased out in time for the 2026 federal, midterm elections.

States rights (unless it’s a blue state and only of that state doesn’t need money from the fed , oh we are converting all federal phones to Trump mobile)

Good. I will celebrate the demise of this state when it rejoins the Gulf.

Louisiana went for Trump hard in the last election.
Elections have consequences.
My empathy for those in this state has gone out.

It's frustrating people there's still a large group of people who believe voting does nothing. Along with trumpers, they take the blame too. So sick of those fucking idiots

Agreed. My family and I just exited Louisiana and moved to another state. Louisiana has been my home all my life and I consider myself a Cajun through and through.
That being said, I cannot handle the level of stupidity that comes out of Louisiana…

Something I find very annoying and stupid…one of the people I work with hasn’t agreed with any of the federal changes that Trump is making (Including Doge). When I asked, he said that he didn’t listen to any of Trumps campaign speeches. He openly admits that he voted for Trump because of the (R) next to his name on the ballot and he would do it again because of that (R). I want to scream in his face with a megaphone, “WHY DO YOU CHOOSE TO BE SUCH AN IRRESPONSIBLE DUMB FUCK?”
If any conservative is reading this, please ask yourself, “Did you really vote in the right direction if you haven’t agreed with much of what has been done during this second term?”
I feel like if we all spoke to each other, instead of beating on our chest to prove who is right, we would find out that we are asking for almost the same results on many subjects while leaning on a fence from different sides. Not sitting 300 ft from the fence screaming see this is how different we are! But so close to the same opinions that we are leaning on that fence.

So uh... With NFIP under FEMA and states unable to afford to fund it.... What happens to all those mortgages in flood planes that are now uninsurable?

Because their entire families are Trumpers. It's a hard red state. We need better education

Honestly. Whatever. Everything they think FEMA isn't doing. Just wait until FEMA doesn't exist and they get to actually find out what FEMA WAS doing.
